Definitely a big blow to their chances. He's their leading receiver. They have to turn to Patterson now.

This situation is not all the different than them losing him to injury. Personally, even though he is/was their leading receiver I don't think it really matters to the Patriots. They have found a way in the past to plug Joe Janitor into these positions and got good games out of them.

They are still dangerous and Brady although aging and a bit off his game is still head and shoulders above almost all the current QB's in the league. So, although they are off a bit, they are still in the game because of Brady.

Remember, someone did say, "next man up". I personally do not want to play them in the playoffs. They have not won 5 superbowls by being pushovers.

You think it would only be 3/4 B&G?

The Patriots will be a factor until the moment the clock ticks zero against them in a playoff game. I don’t see them having the physical talent to win 2-3 playoff games to make it to the SB, but because of their metal edge over everybody else I can’t rule them out until they’re officially done.

So why when it comes to Josh Gordon is it "taking off for mental health" but for every other player it's "suspended for violating the NFL substance abuse policy."

Because he pulled out of the league and hasn’t been suspended (yet).

It's likely the Steelers finish 4 and Pats at 3. So, if they were to meet, it would be in NE for the AFC title game. No better way in my book to offically end the Dynasty, in their place, beating them for the 2nd time in 6 weeks.

So happy we beat Orleans, of wait they didn't play yet? This is all that matters. Now I guess we all have beer muscles because we finally won. The cheats will always be a threat until hoodie and marsha are not there. That's reality. And WTF is this thread doing here anyways?

Patriots won't make it to the AFC Championship, IMO. Even if they win their first wildcard home game vs. Colts/Ravens... I can see Houston or KC/LAC taking them out in divisional round.

I kinda agree, but I still dont want the Steelers to have to go to Foxboro in the playoffs.

If Houston loses at Philly, then the Pats LIKELY get the #2 seed. Another set up for the Pats all the way to the Super Bowl. They are not dead in this scenario. They are likely dead if Houston can win this weekend. The Pats won't win three playoff games with two on the road. They will likely win two playoff games at Gillette with the #2 seed. Houston could beat the Pats in Houston, but they will not beat the Pats at Gillette. It's really up to Houston this weekend as to whether the Pats die this year or their black magic carries them to another Super Bowl.

Yeah, but what if the Patriots lose to either the Jets or Bills? Not likely, but it could happen. Gordon is done... Edelman and Gronk are not 100%. Patriots offense is not nearly as potent this year.

Mods get going and move this thread. Really not Steeler related. If we can't have the Bolts/Ravens in a title I think we all can agree the dreaded New England should be super banned.
