Nicely said man I have been avoiding this thread cause I feel like wanting to enjoy the win not argue with someone who is mad cause many here felt we were gonna lose. I rooted all afternoon for the Steelers that never changed and I will continue to root for the Steelers but just because I feel like we are gonna lose a game or think this team is lost don't make me a troll!!!!!!

My worst moment on this message board was when I started a thread calling everyone out because I was mad that so many were predicting the Steelers would lose in the predict the score thread every week. May have been one of those 8-8 seasons, they weren't good.

I felt you should back the team up no matter what. Thank God I've evolved :lolol:

You can feel the team will lose but that doesn't mean you aren't rooting like heck for them to win. Some people are definitely overly doom and gloom but when there is legit reasons to think they won't win a game, there's nothing wrong with expressing that.

Glad you evolved and glad I wasn't around then lol. I know there are some that are doom and gloom every week and I am not sure why. Also there are some that feel like you shouldn't say anything bad about the team either. I feel I come here to talk about the good and the bad with FELLOW STEELER FANS but there seems to be some that just want to argue. Either way I hope we are all rooting for the Steelers on game day and that is all that matters right???? :yeehaw::yeehaw::yeehaw:

I think there’s a big difference between backing the team and saying that everything is great no matter what. You can back the team and have a negative view on how the team is performing, personnel decisions, coaching, etc. Backing the team does not mean that you have to be relentlessly positive about everything.

I love the Steelers but am always doom and gloom about their chances. Just my nervous nature. Rarely do I think we absolutely are going to win. I was 100% sure we would beat the Browns in the Burgh and I am 100% sure we will beat the Bengals week 17. Maybe if we beat N.O. and Chargers beat Ravens that week 17 will be a meaningless game and we play second string. How I'd love that.

These kind of posts crack me up.

You may have forgotten the three meltdowns leading up to beating New England...I sure as hell haven't!

And yes...I give it up to them for the performance last week...they looked great. But those games I mentioned are inexcusable, period

Yep. Those 3 meltdowns are why the season likely hangs in the balance of the Saints game.

If you bring up the "no losing season" argument you need to bring up the other stat as well. That is the fact he is the only winning coach who has lost multiple games to sub .500 teams in every one of the last 9 seasons. He also owns the worst record of losses by team favored by 10 points or more on the road.

The players are to blame for that but why does this team under Tomlin have such an issue with being focused when playing inferior teams? If Tomlin can't get them focused then he is to blame as that is what his job is, right? If he can't get the players on board then they may as well play without a coach, after all it is poor play at fault, right?

My issue with Tomlin has always been the same, the Jekyll and Hyde nature of the team under his leadership. Do other good teams lose to inferior competition? Yes, but do other good teams lose to inferior competition multiple games every single season? No. It isn't even the losing part, it is that they look like they haven't practiced, it is just awful at times.

When it happens over and over and over it is 1 of 2 things, either the players don't buy into the coaching or there is a major problem with how the team prepares for games. I'm not a betting man but if I was I'd say there is a major flaw in how Tomlin prepares the team each week. The other area you can see the poor prep work is on defense, even with a week or film study and practice there are still communication issues. When that happens good coaches can find fixes, with Tomlin it continues to go on week to week.
