They came up swinging at each other during a goaline drill at Camp today. Ben threw a pass in the back of the endzone that I thought Ike had the pic, they tussled for the ball, and as they got up they started swinging. Other players broke it up, but when practice was over they went after each other again, this time Ryan Clarke joined in. They were seperated again and Ben and Heath Miller took them to a spot away from everybody else. After talking for about 5 minutes, they hugged and shook hands. All is well. :yeehaw:

I actually believe these same two players were already fighting earlier in camp.

I am not too worried about it, but I think it shows that we will be more intense this year, not only on defense but also on offense. Let's hope the physicality is coming back this year on BOTH sides of the ball!

Ike must be tired of Antonio beating him like a rented mule.
Get up, look up, pray up!

I'm notreading anything into this, non-story. This stuff happens on football teams often from high school to the pros. At the end of the day your both brothers, but sometimes brothers fight.

I have no problem with fighting. I played basketball with the same team for about 12 years, and there were plenty of fights in practice.

Throwing punches isn't cool though. Neither of those guys better break a hand on someone's helmet.

Personally I thought it was a dumb move on both of their parts. I mean its one thing to have skirmish during practice but to out and out brawl after the practice is very stupid especially given the report said Ike walked off the field with ice on his forehead . Brown must have clocked him in the forehead with the punch he threw. Healthy competition is to be expected and shows fierce competition but this is just plain stupid

They've both individually tweeted this morning that they are out at breakfast together and have no problems with each other, they are just intense guys in the heat of the moment. Glad they did this before the media ran with another non-story

I can't remember which coach it was who said something along the lines that if he didn't have at least 3 knock-down, drag out fights in camp, he'd be worried about the season. You want that intensity and fight in your players.

As long as they bury the hatchet and set their grudges aside (and nobody gets hurt), this is actually a little encouraging.

I left practice yesterady prior to this event (fight).

I will say that Antonio Brown stole the show during practice. While his teammates were laying down stretching, he never moved from a standing/stretching position while smiling and staring at the crowd the entire time. He kept on sending a 'ballboy/st vincent student/helper/etc' up into the stands to give the loudest screamer a pair of his gloves or his ballcap. He then began pointing at different sections of the crowd to see which section would cheer the loudest.

I remember, at the time, thinking how cool it was that he was interacting with the crowd and winning over a lot of fans. Determined it was merely a great, positive attitude like that that had him signing a $42-million contract while Mike Wallace's attitude had him sitting in Florida waiting.

After reading about the fight, I wonder if maybe his ego isn't getting away from him a little bit. Now I'm wondering if maybe the new $42-million man is getting a bit cocky. Taking the spotlight during a team stretching excercise to interact with the fans?

I hope he is just a fun-loving, hard-working kid who loves to interact with the Steelers fan base and I hope he doesn't (d)evolve into a diva running his mouth, looking for the cameras, and fighting with his teammates.

For all we know Ike was instigating all of it. Everything I have seen and read about Brown says he has his **** together. Im not worried about it, as long as no one gets hurt, I don't care.

The first fight...during the Goal line drill....I am not so sure....Ike dove in front of Brown...and looked to have the INT....it was close....they stood up with a gap between them...and Brown turned and went after him.....Maybe Ike said something...but still....

The fight after practice....I could not say...I had just turned my head...when I heard the noise...when I turned back it was being broken up....Troy was in the middle of it..and walked Brown to the other side of the field talking to him.

Ike's a bigger smack talker than even peezy was. Nobody should really be surprised by this, unless it keeps up throughout camp.

Yeah, I don`t think I have ever seen him actually show anger on camera before...
"What do you want me to do?! Explain it?! It`s an emotional game, played with emotion! I explained it! Next question?"...
That was great!  :D :rawk: :herewego:

GOOD < We need the intensity and it can only make both better against players that truly hate them both. GOOD!!!

Luved Coaches response, I've noticed that he has started to come into his own and has dropped many of the cliched answers since his contract extension too.

WOW. Have the Rooneys told Tomlin to grow some balls and show some emotion? Or maybe Haley wearing off on him? That was freaking sweeet. :clapping: :yeehaw:

I'm glad I wasn't the reporter who asked the "dumb" question! Haven't been yelled at like that since high school.
