We would want to go after Ramsey or would he end up being a cancer like some others not to mention. Thoughts?

Ramsey is going to be extremely expensive in terms of what the Jaguars would want for him and what it would cost in his next contract. He is signed through 2019 on his rookie deal, but I wouldn't be shocked to see the guy hold out before next season or before 2020 if the team that has him exercises his option.

Ramsey is going to be monstrously expensive. Zero guarantee Pittsburgh will have that level of money by then. He is a top flight corner who wants top flight money.

All that said, what I would not give to get him. Shutdown corners no longer exist but he is the closet thing to it. He can nullify any top tier offensive weapon of his choosing; a chess piece defensive back if you will.

Count me in. The guy is amazing. I don't think he is a cancer at all. He is outspoken, passionate about winning, and he shows up on the field. Personality wise he reminds me of Joey Porter. This will never happen, but if you are going to over-pay someone, this is the guy you over-pay.

Bouye is a nice player, but not on Ramsey's level. Adding Ramsey would drastically transform that defense immediately. I just don't think it is realistic.

I'd rather have a good player who's not a distraction than a great one who is. Especially with the Steelers

Why not? I get he is a ***hole but he would elevate our defense instantly.

Bouye is a really good No. 2 cornerback. Ramsey is right there with Peterson as the best corners in the game. What does Ramsey do that makes him such a distraction? He runs his mouth? Who cares?

It's not realistic due to the potential expense in talent and money, but something is seriously wrong with the thinking of any fan who would rather have Bouye than Ramsey based on what they actually bring to the team.

Ramsey is a top 3 corner that has probably 4 years left of playing at a very high level. I'd pursue him if somewhat reasonable.

People keep complaining about not having a playmaker on defense and here is one of the best in the league at one of the most critical positions. Just ask Ben and AB how good he is.

    True.

Fun to play around and think about. The reality is, it's not going to happen.

But it's pretty much a fact that Ramsey is going to be making any defense a lot better. He is an impact player at corner and there are not that many in this league playing at his level. Like him or not he is one of the best at his position.

Yes, and someone like Jack Lambert (my favorite Steeler) was a choir boy. If he (Ramsey) could help us win, I'll take him and his mouth. I would rather have him jawing for us than against us!

I would really go after him. And we have Bell's cap space now. We need an urgent upgrade to the secondary.

If Ramsey was a FA or the Jags were shopping him and the trade deadline hadn’t passed I could understand this thread and the discussion.
Neither of those things apply right now so not sure why the OP even started this fantasy.

I believe it is because some people have already moved on to thinking about next season.

Anyone have insight into what Ramsey’s teammates think of him?
