Haven't been overly impressed with him. Does he have a guaranteed job going into next season?

They had another punter at camp when I went. He was outkicking Berry by a TON. I couldn't believe it when they let him go and kept Berry.

No worries, the Land Down Under is a big place and seems to field many capable gents. Just have to be sure to stock the locker room vending machines with Vegemite Sandwiches. :lolol:

I mentioned way back in the fall...WHY exactly was Piitsburghs reasoning for keeping Berry over Wile when he outperformed him by a ton...Younger cheaper...Was in dead money or something

Nope, they’d just signed him last summer to a 1-year, $1.9 million non-guaranteed contract.

Wile is averaging 44.5 yards per punt, has had one blocked, and has dropped 24 of 58 inside 20. Berry is averaging 44.2 yards per punt, has had none blocked (so far; you know there's still hope), and dropped 23 of 54 inside 20. Berry needs to be replaced but Wile is not really an upgrade.

Berry has been extremely inconsistent but that appears to be the theme for the entire team this year.

Again, Wile is really not an upgrade. He also seems a bit slow to get the ball off. I am in support of getting a new punter but I want someone who is a clear upgrade over Berry.
