Sorry for the delay today, here' what I'm seeing so far out of camp:

    An hour ago or so~

"Woodley practicing for second straight time. Looks like he will play against Eagles."

    40 min. ago~

"Jerrod Johnson hit Beiler for 50 plus."

"First team O and D. Cortez Allen on the field. Not sure Lewis' status."

"After getting beat badly twice Keenan Lewis leaves practice and has ice on his shoulder."

    30 min. ago~

"McLendon good off the ball again. Beats his man. Sack."

"First team D stuffs third team O twice."

"Special teams work. Drew Butler shanks first punt for 27 yds."

"Al Woods getting extra snaps at DE in practice. Cortez Allen with first team at CB. Keenan Lewis whereabouts unknown-- at least by me"

"Butler hits 2nd 45 yards, bombs third 55 yards."

"Odd: Will Johnson got 2 carries. Lends more credence to theory he is winning FB job, which is why David Johnson would move back to TE?"

"Sanders, Rainey, Brown back catching punts, but will be Rainey & Maze in Philly."

Alright, so he's not "pysically struggling" with McLendon, but then again McLendon is not a physically threatening guy... oh, wait a minute... he's the biggest freaking monster on the team right now... Oh well, I'm sure it was a coincidence.

"Jerrod Johnson 6 of 10 for 54 yards plus 4-yard scramble in 2-min. Great grabs by WRs Tyler Beiler (17) and Toney Clemons (leaping 12-yd TD)""

i like what i'm hearing so far about JJ. 60% today and a TD. he beat them all in the 40 yd. trash can throws. he had at least two other very nice long TD throws last week, dropping them in over the defender. they said he and lefty after bens couple of series.

keenan lewis re-injured that same shoulder. we are thin back there.

heyward out thurs. with back trouble. woods to take his spot.

kap still out for game. the kid is most likely the new holder too for swiss ham. :) i hope it isn't trouble with a new holder.

thats definately a tough matchup for him. good to hear it. as long as he's in the right place for now, thats a plus. as smart as he is, he'll stop thinking first and just play football. these preseason game will be big for these guys. they will get game reps and into a groove that will carry he and adams through.

I was at camp again today. Didn't catch as much as I did at the Friday night one unfortunately. I did see Butler boom those punts though...he's getting better each day...look out Kapinos! And yes Colon was over with the PUP guys Mendy, Starks and Worilds...running/etc and then pushing one of those heavy duty off road ATV looking things up and down the field. I dont think we have to worry about Colons rolled up/stepped on ankle. I caught the terrible muffed punt by Rainey...hit him right in the face it looked. McLendon for sure is 300+ lbs at this point no matter what some doubters may say.

    Some after practice/autograph time tidbits.

Mike Adams is super nice...when he came to where i was he would talk to everyone who he signed for...saying ma'am/sir, etc...very nice kid.

Foster was just as awesome as Adams and joked around and such...and even gave both his shoes out.

A number of the lower on the totem pole guys were great too...like WR Tyler B, that DB they just signed Victorian or whatever...they both signed the whole way up the hill and then some.

Charlie Batch did the same and even had some fun with some kids...a kid right next to me asked him for his towel...and Charlie asked what are your grades like in school...and of course as any kid would do "All A's" then he was like some B's and C's...and Charlie was like why you lying to me/etc and messed around with him...but the kid didnt get the towel haha. So a little later another kid wanted it...and apparently said he would do 10 push ups for it. So Charlie counts...and the kid only does like 1-2 actual push ups...and hes trying to convince Charlie however he can to let him have his towel, money, etc (I couldnt hear everything being said)...so finally Charlie gets his towel, signs it and gives it to the kid. Charlie is awesome!

Speaking of awesome...that leads me to Ryan Clark...as most of you probably know he's the best at camp always talking with people, signing, giving shoes and the clothes off his back away/etc. He was hilarious with some of the stuff he said/did...and of course his shark looking kids backpack was great!

I'm sure theres more I missed or could put, but i'm whooped as its been a long ass day, haha.

muscle is heavier then fat. i doubt he's 325, but hoke was only a little over 300 and had a very good career. mclendon will use his muscle, but the quickness he brings off the ball will make o-linemen struggle against him too. power or quickness, or a combo of both makes for a disruptive NT. he's also young and fresh. i'm glad we have him and it's nice the steelers believe in what their coaches teach these young guys when most teams discard them. we use our practice squad to build players. i like the approach.
