Official Steelers vs Chargers Gameday Thread

I am not one to complain that the refs favor one team or the other. Sour grapes to me even though I've seen how wrong calls can change game for or against your team but I'm forced to watch the Patriots game (I do not watch Tommy Bratty unless it is a Steeler game) since it's all that is on and damn if it doesn't seem like they get some questionable calls go their way.

 

I can't wait, this is going to be my first Steeler game!

 

Why does it always seem in every Pats game there is a point where they are not getting anything and they flip a switch and boom a 14 point explosion with wide open guys everywhere and just look miles ahead of the other team. It just feeds the cheating theories .

Ref right on the goal line, blatant pass interference. Deflategate, Tuck rule, spygate, destroyed cell phones, somehow always grabbing high end wide receivers to play with the goat.... gee, I don’t know, where there is smoke, there’s fire? I personally hope if the Steelers don’t go,to,the Super Bowl,New England does and loses. Hope Tom Brady plays another 10 years with his diminishing skillset and loses more Super Bowls than Kelly.

 

They only played one really good team, that was Kansas City.

So hope they win for you. My first games were in the 60"s and I never saw a win.

I need a big game from the defense to win my fantasy game this week. Or at least an average game.

 

Had to get that Rodney “forearm to a downed receiver” Harrison highlight.

 

Lamar is a one dimensional qb and if the FailCons could stop the run this would have been a win for them. Plus they had an S3 (strip/sack/score) in the face that turned this game into an unwinnable event.

Off topic but Mike McCarthy out of Green Bay. Eight straight playoff years before last season and Green Bay likely to finish with a losing record no less.


Again, this is off topic but this also is a great reminder about the whole "he inherited 'insert coaches name' players". Just goes to show you that, regardless of what one has "inherited", how one can sustain that level of success is, has been, and will always be the key. From that point on, that "inherited team" becomes that current coaches team.



In short? This effectively ends the whole "Mike McCarthy > Mike Tomlin" debate for good. Why? Tomlin is still employed. McCarthy is not.

I figured there would be a bunch of people on here having … dreams about being able to replace the "hated" Mike Tomlin

 

Been down for three now, one win to go with two losses, most recent being the Ravens' debacle in late September.
We love our visits there (the wife's also a big Steelers' fan) and have been really fortunate to have great weather on all of them.

I'm a Hearts' fan for my sins, what's your excuse? Tottenham's always been my English team, btw.

I can't believe they fired him during the season. I think everyone knew he was out at the end of the year. But to do it now is shocking to me.
