Eli's 21 day clock has started

Eli started practicing today. The Steelers have until 12/19 in order to decide to add him to the 53 man roster.

If that does happen he'll be available for the last two games of the Reg. season.

It seems Washington and Hunter has done enough of nothing to warrant being replaced.

Would not surprise me to see him activated if Washington or Switzer can't take the 3rd spot over.
Justin Hunter be ideal cut guy off the 53 man roster if this were to happen.

 

I believe Switzer is already #3 WR. He seems to have earned their trust as a slot WR and even is the backfield a few snaps a game.

Not sure about DHB.... They know what they have in him so it may very well be Hunter.

Washington may be the better option but his draft status will most likely protect him from the waiver wire .....

How well do you think Eli will play after being out for so long? The former player who wore #26 took a few games to get in sync and be productive. A rusty Eli may still be better than JW or JH at this point. Don't know.

 

Switzer isn't going anywhere.

 

Switzer is clear the 3 IMO. Zero chance they cut Ridley unless they sign another back. It seems to me Washington has until Eli comes back to prove himself. If he dosent he will be inactive and Eli will be our 4th receiver. DHB is safe do to his special teams contributions. That leaves Hunter as the odd man out.
