Steelers Release First Depth Chart

No big surprises honestly i hope carter shines becuase everytime worilds gets his shot he seems to be injured. I worry about him taking the beating of a full time starter

 

Interesting. I was under the impression that Cortez Allen was outplaying Keenan Lewis in camp so far. I guess we'll see Thursday night!

 

I don't put too much stock in this chart at the moment. James Harrison and Starks aren't even listed on it. Give it a few more weeks before we really start focusing on this.

 

the longer worilds is hurt the more footing these other talents get. he's in the contract year. alot now may depend on harrison staying next year. i think he does anyway though. carter and robinson will have a good shot if they preform well. they are going to get alot more exposure then they would normally, which makes them alot harder to keep if we want to practice squad either of them.

Their depth charts are almost always, always, always wrong in one or more ways. Essex over Adams? Not only is that unrealistic and for show, the show is over. Adams officially jumped him by taking the first reps in the last practice. Deshea Townsend was still listed as the starter (and being introduced as the starter during games) long after he was the #3 behind McFadden and Taylor. The depth chart is and always has been pure propoganda.

I love the look of that depth chart except for 2nd defense LB squad is kinda quiet. Plus there is lots of talent not listed. Pretty psyched with team depth this season. What a difference a year makes. I hope they get Wallace in there soon. I'm not feeling good about this the more entrenched both sides get. In the public it seems the organization is doing all the right things in good honest effort, but behind closed doors it could be a cage fight. More like a two guys holding their ground. I want it all over allready....

Harrison and Starks are on PUP. Wallace isn't.

 

Its kind of interesting. It lists who will start in the 1st pre-season game and who'll be 2nd string. No real surprises as it shows who's available and who's impressing in training camp so far.

Only one thing, and that's Wallace's placement. He can't be fined because he isn't a Steeler right now. He is not under contract and he is not in camp. Technically he cannot be on the offical roster so how can he be 1st on the depth chart.
Here's a few thoughts.
1) He's about to sign his tender and be under contract.
2) Its a message to him saying "we still want you here".
3) Its a message to E. Sanders and Jerricho C. saying " you have an opportunity with Wallace not being here and you're failing to impress".
4) Both #2 and #3
