Right.. I'd actually pretty happy to see Chiefs Texans Steelers Pats Chargers Colts

Wed play Colts at home and a win would put us up vs the Texans to go to the AFC Title game with a shot at hosting if NE beat Chiefs on the road.

The way this team plays after time off, I’m not sure we want them to have a bye in the playoffs...if they get there.

We get angry because it is a pattern that has been going on for over a decade and shows no sign of changing. You just never know which team is going to show up on game days. This team is just as likely to go out and lose to bad teams as they are to win them and there is zero accountability for that. It is beyond frustrating at this point. I just don't understand how so many fans are willing to just shrug this crap off. The division is not assured. The only thing hat works in our favor there is that the Ravens have just as tough a remaining schedule as we do. However they are a team that is getting better and we are getting worse or staying stagnant. I am a fan of optimism, but this seems more like burying our heads in the sand.

Another useless season where they win enough games to keep Tomlins job security forever and also get a late round draft pick. Vicious cycle

    Of course it’s frustrating.

But the Broncos aren’t a bad team - we still should have beaten them, and we lost more than they won, but they aren’t a bad team.

I don’t follow the point about zero accountability. There’s already been a lot of breaking down of what went wrong and who did what, and I'm sure it will go on all week. Yes, we lose to bad teams - but not all losses are the same. Sometimes we play sloppy; sometimes it's bad gameplanning; sometimes it's a close game with some odd bounces of the ball/ref decisions; sometimes it's the other team playing lights out; sometimes it's a team that isn't actually as bad as the record suggests.

So, for me, it's not about shrugging things off; accountability is about looking at the details of a game and working out where fault lies. That's not always going to result in shouts to fire the HC.

If you expect them to go 16 and 0 or play well every single week then you need to switch to another hobby. Bad games happen, Denver is not as bad as team as their record says they are, they've got loses to KC twice and the rams. They've beaten US and the chargers. They have one of the top defenses in the league and Denver is one of the toughest road games in the NFL.

I just looked at the Texans schedule compared to ours, we aren't getting a bye. Ultimately, losing to bad teams like Baltimore & Denver will come back to bite this team in the ass.

The Steelers assuming they beat the Pats which they MUST do if they want to have any chance of getting a bye week and that number 2 seed need to pretty much go 4-1 without losing to the Pats and have the Pats lose to either the Vikings at home this week or at Miami the following week, and they need the Texans as well to probably lose two more games. I just can’t see the Steelers beating both the Pats and Saints two weeks in a row. I think the best they will finish is 11-4-1 which means because of that stupid tie in Cleveland they are gonna need both the Pats and Texans to both finish at 11-5 which means the Steelers need them both to lose two games each. It’s a tall order and definitely more of an uphill battle but it’s still very much in play and very possible.

We got a huge break next week as Melvin Gordon sprained his MCL and will be out a few weeks. Like I said above, I'd rather us get the 3 seed and Texans have the 2 seed with NE getting the 4 and having to go to KC

Denver is a weird place to play. Besides the altitude, there always seems to be an odd combination of brilliant sunshine and shadows on the field. Everytime the Steelers play in Denver there is the same weird vibe.

We can't have a tie-breaker with the Ravens, unless they somehow manage to tie someone in the next 5 games. Just sayin.

We do have a rough schedule, though. If we don't get certain things fixed *now*, we might be in trouble:

    - run D. Ouch
    - Can't cover a TE. Again.
    - Zone D doesn't work for this squad. Just. Stop.

There is no way in hell Steelers will get a bye now. A 3 seed is about as good as it's gonna get and a win will be needed either vs. NE or NO... along with a win over the Chargers. I've said it before... Steelers have to go at least 2-1 vs. Chargers, Patriots and Saints to have any hope. I don't see it happening. Even the Raiders game looks daunting with the way our defense is getting shredded along with the inconsistent turnover-prone offense. Add to the misery, the Bengals may be starting their backup QB when we play them in week 17. Steelers D's get shredded by backup QBs.

I don't expect them to go 16-0. I'm amazed they've won as many games as they have. However, there are certain games that great teams do not lose that we always seem to lose. You can say whatever you want about Denver being better than their record and I believe that just like we weren't as good as our record suggested last year. Great teams don't tie Cleveland even if they are better this year. Great teams do not lose the way we lost yesterday. They don't struggle against Jacksonville at home three times in two years. I know that Jax made it to the AFC title game last year and almost won, but you didn't see New England look as bad as we did. There is a difference between just losing games because the other team is better or played better and losing how we lose. We don't just get outplayed, we look like we couldn't win a single game. That kind of a huge swing in quality of play is something I can't accept. There is always going to be a game here and there where even the best teams look horrible, but they are rare -- maybe one game a year. We have about three of those per year against bad teams alone. Real contenders don't do that. We're just the opposite in that we play up to our potential about one game a year like Carolina this year.

By accountability, I mean we never really address our problems or if we do, we fail. Yet those same people who either ignore or fail to fix the problems are still there and allowed to keep on failing.

I agree with you about the Steelers making to many mistakes
I don't think the Steelers are being stagnant or getting worse. This was the Steelers first loss since week 4 against the Ravens. They were on a 6 game winning streak. For the past 2 years, the Steelers normally win more games in November and December compared to September and October. And out of the 7 wins that the Steelers have this season, they have won 4 out of those 7 games on the road (Tampa Bay, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Jacksonville). That is pretty damn good to me. The Steelers have weaknesses just like the other 31 teams in the NFL. No team is flawless. With that being said, the Steelers penalties are annoying. And they could do better with their clock management. My huge concern is the Steelers being able to eliminate the Patriots in a playoff game. If the Steelers are able to beat the Patriots in this regular season, then I will feel a lot better about the Steelers being able to beat them in the playoffs, if they meet up again in January.

Baltimore has a good chance to make the playoffs still. And you should know that the Ravens and Steelers matchups can always go either way. So the Steelers did not lose to a bad Ravens team.

I do. Texans have the D to hold Brady in check. It's all about matchups and Texans match up much better with the Patriots than the Steelers do.

Yeah I do and a lot of people called me out when I said pre season I thought they had the best team in the AFC. I just didn't see mahomes balling like he did. That's been the shock of the season for me.
