Why Mike Tomlin should be a serious contender for Coach of the Year
    https://www.behindthesteelcurtain.c...or-coach-of-the-year-steelers-nfl-news-awards

"He has defined a model of consistency during his tenure as the Steelers Head Coach that can only be rivaled by Bill Belichick in New England."

"Tomlin’s intensity should be no secret to no one. He is a locker room coach and every single player that seemingly comes through those doors loves the guy." Artie Burns?!

"Tomlin has proven that his teams CAN overcome drama. But this team, this 2018 team seems different. It isn’t like Tomlin’s previous teams from the years 2013-2017. This team seems like a throwback. Dare I say, in Steelers terms, these guys are acting Cowher-esque?"

It's too early for this. The truly brutal part of the schedule is still to come.

That said, you've got a team that started 1-2-1 and rallied to win six in a row despite losing one of the top players in the game to a season-long holdout. I think that warrants a place in the discussion for the coach.

agree it's too early for judging coach of the year.

I don't think it's too early to point out he's doing a good job.

I think Frank Reich should be considered, too.

I agree Tomlin has done a heck of a job of keeping this team together. With the whole Bell situation hanging over the teams heads. We all were blasting him including myself for not putting the hammer down. I guess that’s why we’re not NFL head coaches.

As for the team acting like a Cowher team I think it’s acting like a Tomlin team. I think timeline might be a better coach then Cowher. They both are great coaches. Tomlin in my opinion has had to deal with more craziness than Cowher. Cowher didn’t have social media when he was coaching. That’s a huge burden on a coach. Any player can go on social media and see anything he wants in the coach has the answer for it. I think Tomlin would be a great coach of the year and I’ve been one of his harshest critic’s!

What exactly did Tomlin do to keep this team together? What needed to be done in the first place. Wasn't this chaos created by the culture that Tomlin was responsible for in the first place? The next time we lose to a team we should have won all will be singing a different tune. Lets see where this joy ride goes to first before we start blowing smoke up anyone's backside. Lets focus on the next game and go from there.

Have you not noticed how tight the team is this year?
