I think karma got the Jags. They should have known that jawing cost the steelers in the playoffs last year. Doing the same thing is a recipe for a karmic downfall

I’d be mad if I’m the jags d. Bortles is never going to be the answer for them. But you can tell they are better with Fournette, he’s for real. Not an easy deal when the defense knows your running every play. If Fournette isn’t hurt the jags wouldn’t have lost so many games

Glad we got a W but it’s hard to say we deserved this one. This is one we should of lost, but to get a W when you don’t play is good. Just wish they played the whole game like they did the final 6 and half minutes

I didn’t get to see the game, but I checked it periodically on the scoreboard. I thought here we go again with Roethlisberger throwing crazy interceptions trying to challenge Ramsey. At the end though they pulled it out to my surprise. He threw a fourth pick that got negated by that facemask penalty or he would be answering some heavy questions today or tomorrow, but he’s not gonna have too much because they won and winning cures all.

If not for that facemask/hold on Switzer that INT never happens. JMO

Yeah before I saw the flag I thought Ben was doing his Neil O'Donnell impersonation.

My throat still hurts from yelling at that one, right up until I saw the flag.

Switzer had the guy beat for a touchdown if the defender hadn't grabbed his facemask.

Probably, but I still don't agree with throwing at that point. We had a time out. Give the boys up a front a chance to show they can get the job done and open a lane for Connor

I am wondering personally now if the effects of the concussion played any part in Conner not receiving the handoff in the endzone.

Given the unusual performance Conner had today, one does have to consider that possibility. Within that same vein, giving it to the likes of Jaylen Samuels would have not been a bad idea either.

If there was still concern regarding the concussion, Conner shouldn't have played.

I thought they should have run the ball on at least one of those plays inside the two, but with a game like this, you really just have to happily take the win.

I doubt it. A concussion is either healed or it's not. It's not quite like a soft tissue injury where guys play at 80%. If he had any lingering effects he wouldn't have been cleared to play. At least that's my belief based on how much the NFL has had to pay out in lawsuits already. I just don't think the NFL will take any chances with concussions. The NFL will make money regardless of who is concussion protocol

I would say there could be something to it though. Not the initial concussion from last game but it makes some ppl more susceptible to follow up concussions. Sidney Crosby lost half a season from it. I wondered if he was feeling alright after that cheap shot to the back of his head.

Why is Ben spiking the ball when there was enough time to run 3 plays? I know it doesn't matter this time, but against the Patriots that little mistake could be the difference.

I was at the game, every Steeler fan in our section was yelling to run the ball with fullback help at the end. With 10 seconds left and one timeout left run the ball at least once..

I think it was to calm everyone down and regroup without using a timeout.

It also allows the defense to calm down and regroup.

But they limited themselves to 2 possible plays, instead of 3.

I didn’t think it was a good idea but it didn’t matter when they got that flag on DJ Hayden on the next play. Sometimes you just get lucky

Logic said run the ball. But I don't know if I'd have confidence at that point given how good the Jags had been at shutting Connor down.

What I thought they were going to do - and was absolutely praying they wouldn't - was line up in shot gun and run a draw. That would have been the worst call.

That place went insane when Ben scored. It was awesome to see the look on all 12 of the jags fans faces that were at the stadium.

The problem with throwing the ball in that situation is what almost happened, the game could end with a pick.
