What if the Pats offered a 1st rounder for Bell next season? Granted it would probably be a pick from 30-32 but it would be far better than the 3rd rounder we'd get if Bell walked in FA.

It would help one of our biggest rivals though. Would you do it?

So you want to tag him again and hope he shows up this time, only to try to trade him to the one team that we can't beat?

Uh, his current year contract will expire at the end of the season.... assuming he signs it before the deadline. Any and all trade opportunities are basically over...... he can become an unrestricted free agent (assuming we don't transition tag him, which is doubtful) and sign where ever he wants. Best case scenario now is that we get a comp pick, and pray for a 3rd rounder.

 

They already have a QB. And from what I read, Glemm isn’t all that good.
