Anybody been to training camp and a looked at Derrick Williams, I know to this point he has really not been good at the NFL level, anybody paid any attention to him so far? Does he have any chance at making this team as the 5th or 6th WR?

Last I checked, he didn't win any games in college, so expectations are pretty low

Good Point, but all Penn State jokes aside. I remember being really good, but his NFL totals are like 9 catches for 82 yards, which is better than Limas Sweed?

    hilarious.

i have no idea how he worked out for the Lions, but i know he was great to watch at Penn State. he was my favorite receiver those years. i think if the Steelers didn't have AB, Williams would be a solid kick returner.

I think Brown's day of kick returning may be done. I think you might see Rainey as the new kick returner. Not sure they want 42 million dollars man fielding special teams. Which I don't think is right because the guy is amazing at it.

I expect they might still use him to return in strategic and change of pace situations as they did with Holmes during his last year(s). It worked out really well for us.

If they need to. Rainey might work out very nicely. Dude is fast.

Sometimes they have a different PR than KR, perhaps there is room for both Rainey and Williams on special teams, given that they may both be able to help the offense as well.
