I freaked out too for like 5 seconds, until I saw it wasn't TTF. I thought it still might be true so I searched for TTF's confirmation for a minute. When I realized he probably wouldn't have overlooked that in order to report Ta'amu going to Walmart, I figured maybe I'd been had...

Good one, though. If it had been said by that guy with the same avatar as TTF, we all would have freaked.

Technically 360 degrees is "right back where you started from", in other words no change. Night and day would be 180 degrees. Oh well, hope he gets back on the field soon. Damn that guy bruises easily. Didn't see ziggy's name mentioned anywhere. Has he failed to report yet or is he just being invisible (as usual) ?

    Yeah, gotta love Ike's Swaggin-isms.

I've not seen much about him, yet. I saw someone reporting from camp say 'Ziggy hood will be a force this year man', and another shared this photo and said 'Ziggy Hood is a strong individual'

Our DL has been better, no question. Think about our Super Bowl XL squad, and around that time. Aaron Smith, Casey Hampton, Kimo Von Olehoffen, with Chris Hoke and Brett Keisel for depth... all young and in their prime? Are you kidding?!?! That's freaking amazing! That said...

I think I'm more excited about this line. Hood and his new commitment to get better, Heyward in his second year and his superior natural abilities, McLendon putting on 25 pounds of muscle, Ta'amu being so freaking huge and still nimble as a cat, Keisel getting better for some reason, and Big Snack getting ready for his swan song. Say what you want about that guy, but when he feels like it, he is like a train. I can't wait!

You had me at 'Super Bowl XL squad'.

I'm right there with ya with this D. I know most people don't care for preseason, but I can't wait for it. I imagine I'll rewatch each game at least 3 or 4 times. I'm pretty pumped.

I knew that Red was out crap was not true.........It was a good ine though....He Is a Redman ubder estimator and he will eat crow soon enough....

On a side note Woodley sats Redman is a beast and it takes a whole Team to tackle him,1 man can't really bring him down....This is exactly the reason he needs to be on the field.T eams will have to game paln to stop him and when they do the PA game will eat them alive.......Exactly what I have said all along.....

Clown if you want to ,but Redman is the real deal....

I love pre-season every year. I think people who don't like it or aren't pumped for it are just casual fans. And that's fine, everyone doesn't need to ingest this stuff like lots of us on here do, but when I hear people say it's pointless or boring then I have to point out the bigger picture. If they still don't get it, then I stop. I'm not going to waste my breath trying to turn someone into something they are not.

In fact, I love training camp!!! I wish that stuff was televised. That's why I don't understand people not wanting the Steelers to do hard knocks. The "distraction" argument is the only thing that MIGHT make sense if there is any truth to that. Otherwise, why would you not want to be a fly on the wall....????

Well, just to be clear, he did take a shot to the head that put him out of the scrimmage. Dwyer jumped right in and did quite well from what I hear. Redman turned out to be just fine, though.

I say, "Okay, then don't watch. But stop trying to get it cancelled for me!" I love preseason games, and I'm glad I now get to see all of them instead of just one or two. I bathe in them like Scrooge McDuck in money. I can't stand the fans that want it to stop just because they are bored without the big stars in the game. I don't need to recruit them to be like me either, I just hate the talk of reducing the number of games.

Hardly pal, I've always supported Redman. However I choose not to go all homerific and make proclamations about how he's going to avg over 5 ypc and defenses won't know what to do blah blah blah. :roflmao:

Re: Steelers Training Camp Day 5 7/29

Whatever dude.....In games he has had iver 12 totes a game ,he is over 6.0 YPC on average....So my hoprs have a great base in reality as I expect over 12 Totes each game..Now peep that....

As to my dear froend TFF ...I kgew he had a moment with contact abd Dwyer did fine ,but I knew Red was O.K....And I have yet to hear a Stellar member of the D say that it takes a whole Team to tacklr Dwyer....If and when I hear that I will look at the Dwyer tapr more closrl and consider giving him Redman type props....

At this point the only tape and the only peer praise stands behind Red....

Can anyone say sample size? By the way you might want to check the game logs before making claims like the 6.0 ypc. For example 10/9/11 vs Tennessee 15 carries 49 yards
    1/1/12 vs Cleveland 19 carries 92 yards

Do I need to keep going?

Why do people feel the need to always "label" what is different from them  I guarantee I am as big as fan as you or anyone else here, I just can't get pumped for games that don't count in the win/loss column. I'm actually more psyched for training camp and seeing TTF's updates then I get for preseason. That's not to say I am not interested in their progression, I just don't get pumped up, there's some adrenaline but "pumped up"? Do you or anyone else seriously get as pumped for preseason as you do for the start of regular season? Not a rhetorical question.

I myself have been known to wave a terrible towel in my living room before a pre-season game. It's just an appetizer but still it tastes REALLY good. I will take Steelers football any time I can get it. But if it's not your thing it's cool.

But to answer your question of course I get more "pumped" for the regular season.

Re: Steelers Training Camp Day 5 7/29

Of course I don't get as pumped for anything more than actual games, but that doesn't mean I don't get pumped non the less. I thought it was clear I wasn't hating on those that don't, but I just don't understand those like yourself (I never knew you were in this camp by the way. It wasn't a shot across the bow) who seem so very interested in everything during the off season, draft and training camp, then to not visually devour all that you have been reading about as far as performance and position battles played out before you. It's such a huge part of the process that yes, I enjoy it almost as much. It's really I am more curious than anything else.

Except agreeing with Snacks about those not in the same mind frame wanting the games removed. I understand ticket holders having to pay the same cover price as BS though.

    Whateves...

Yes, I know you weren't hating and just speaking in general terms but since I am in the camp, to imply I am a casual fan because I don't get pumped up for games that don't count is kind of insulting. Not saying that angrily or anything, just explaining my position. It's interesting to see whos doing well and what not but pumped? Sorry, just not the same as a regular season game, thats PUMPED! I'm in this for Super Bowls :herewego:

Apparently Ike isn't too good with his directions...If Sanders is a whole lot better than last year, 360 degrees to be exact, wouldn't that bring him right back to where he was last year? Thank God some of these guys aren't paid to prove quantum theory! :hmmm:
