    I guess anything is possible. It sure would be nice to see what the defense they planned on having can do.

    He’s been hurt so much they haven’t practiced the defense they wanted. Same thing happened last year with Haden and they never got back to it.

    At least he practiced fully. That is good news regardless of how they plan on using him. Depth is never a bad thing.

    Just in...Burnett goes on IR after tripping over shoelace on his way to the practice field. Sources are saying he pulled both hamstrings causing a double hernia. Burnett was quoted saying, "Damn if felt good to almost get out there again!", "I felt great for those 30 seconds.", and "Felt good to be back out there with my teammates." Sources are reporting that the team plans to continue on without him like he hadn't even been there.

    Well, that was short lived!

    He was up and down the little bit he played. It's kind of expected coming to a new team and system. Hopefully he can hit the field running....literally

    That probably isn't far off from the plan for passing downs once Burnett is fully up to speed.

    That's how I remember it. So I don't see how plugging him in 7 weeks later anything is going to change or improve this defense.

    Everyone gave up on Vance but I never did. Same with Burnett, I think he can make us a top 5 defense in nfl history, while adding Peterson would make us better than the 85 bears.

    Probably not immediately and the pessimist in me says....I believe it was a groin injury? Those are difficult to come back from and easy to re aggravate. Ask Mike Mitchell... I'm cautiously optimistic....
