Peterson or bust

Lets be real.. This team is making 0 noise if they even make the playoffs with Burns or Sensabaugh. Steelers rather hold onto a 1st that might be a pro bowler in 3-4 years once our Top 5 QB, o-line, and potentially WR core is gone.




Steelers obviously aren't trying to win right now. Why should we waste our time?

 

No need to talk about playoffs until we see the results of the next 2 games. If Steelers can't go 2-0 vs. Browns and Ravens, it will be hard to even get a 6th seed. Even though we beat the Bengals, they could end up with a better overall and divisional record. I don't see 3 AFC North teams making the post season.

 

The Cards are saying he isnt available. You cant trade for a guy if the other team dosent want to trade with you.

I don't care for baseball but about to start getting into the Pens earlier then normal. What moves have the Steelers made to win a Championship?

 

They were saying that earlier in the week, it might be diff now how the team played last night.. They made Leftwich their OC this morning

 

Trading for players isn't what they do. I'd love for them to go after Patrick Peterson but it's just not happening.. They rather stick with Artie burnt toast burns

 

pretty crazy that Kenan Thompson went from All that, to play in the NFL, then to SNL and now offensive coordinator for the Cardinals.

 

Im all for it, as long as the asking price isnt ridiculous. I just dont see it happening. Why would trading your best player be the best move following a blowout?

 

Agreed. Why the Pens went back to back and the Steelers are content with being the Jags and Pats punching bag.

Because this season is already over and should be in rebuild mode around Rosen. Peterson only has 2 year left after this year... Rebuild mode takes years not happening in that window. He's making a lot of money that they could use to lock up younger players in their future plans. He would get them the best draft picks in return.

That's what every owner in the history of trades has said about a player especially when dealing with a captain/potential HoFer. What is he suppose to say before a Thursday night game? Yup! Peterson is on the trade block folks!! How long have you guys been watching football?

 

I have been watching the Steelers since 1975 , probably longer than you have been watching football .

 

What moves have the Packers, Eagles, Chiefs, etc. made? Trades in the NFL don't happen a lot. Trades involving star players are very rare. You're expecting something to happen that might be almost impossible.

You are assuming the Cards would take a 1st for him.

 

Do you know who else says players aren't available? GM's and owners who have zero interest in trading their players

 

That's what was rumored with him even being on the trade block. You make an offer they can't refuse. I'd have 0 hope and expectations if he was on the Ravens, Browns, Patriots, Jags, Bengals, Cowboys, etc. Pretty much every team in the league besides the Cardinals. They are the Steelers West. Leftwich is their freaking OC now. Foote their linebacker coach. One of their best players of all time is from Pittsburgh. If they would throw even the slightest bone to anybody it would be us. Getting a 1st and whatever else it takes during a rebuild isn't much of a bone either.

If Colbert can't get this done, I'm done. They aren't serious about winning this year trotting Burns or Sensabaugh out.

You are demanding they trade for a player who has specifically been mentioned as not being available and is one of the best at his position. You say to make an offer they can't refuse but that almost has to be an offer that isn't worth it from the Steelers' perspective. I'd love to see them get him and it might be possible but to think it must happen is too much. Your standard is simply absurd.
