Oh mannn. Just saw on another thread that some players expected him to show up in a few days. Is that because they suspended negotiations?

Too many emotions! Too many thoughts!

If Wallace signs, fine. If he doesn't sign and sits out 2012, fine.

As I've said in previous threads, I think he has an inflated ego. He's a good WR and an important (but NOT VITAL) piece of the offense. IMHO, if a player is going to take this approach, he'd better be irreplaceable. I don't want to see the Steelers bend over backwards for a guy who's a little soft.

I don't know who is giving Wallace advice but they are idiots. Or maybe Wallace is just a moron. Steelers will continue to negotiate in good faith just as long as he reports to camp. This is a dumb dumb move by Wallace. It would be nice if you are on the team Wallace but they don't need you, get it through your head. :frustrated:

I'd say not due to the fact that it was based on a post from Mark Kaboly from a little before 2pm.

I wish they still had Hines. I know, I know, I need to move on, but it still would make me feel better. He was slow for sure, but he could still block and still had good hands.

Have you forgotten that Hines Ward held out for a couple of weeks while trying to get an extension?

I love Wallace and what he brings to the team, but i also thing we can still be great without him. If he is going to be nothing more than a distraction now then its time to move on and get down to business!!

That's cool, you are entitled to your feelings about Wallace. Sarcasm tags haven't been invented yet, so sometimes it's hard to tell. Hines did something quite similar 7 years ago, and it turned out alright in the end. Business is business.

Hines did it when there wasn't a new coordinator installing an offense. Bad timing for sure here.

No doubt. Let's hope it doesn't go on for long.

I will add to that....Plus Ward was a Vet and it was not his 1st. contract....I don't think of the Rookie deal as a true contract ,,it is more based on potential,,,the 1st. real contract comes after you get NFL experience IMO....

The real kivker here is I am sure that the Team wants Wallace,,,and that would mean they have put there best Foot forward and to date that is no where near good enough.....This much info is common sense and we all know it....

Now if you factor in the Drop off in Wallace's performance late in the year and in most of his post season work ,there is no way the Team will increase a offer at this time.....So again it all comes down to Wallace...

I think he has made up his mind....He won't sign the Tender until he must...As the rumors suggest....He wont sign a deal that is not a Top 4 or 5 WR type of deal,,,again as the rumors suggest.....Which puts him right in th hold out spot with no chance of a better offer coming....Sorry guys ,but that is how I have seen it all along......I wanted to be wrong if a fair deal could be reached...I don't believe that is going to happen....

Depending on how the front office wants to send a message to the up and coming players that will be in his shoes soon they can let him sit till the 10th game play him hard and tag him the next year. I think they will let him and his agent stew for a couple of weeks.

Neither one can beat off defenders.

 Well, ok, Hines did a pretty god job at that.

It is funny reading the humurous posts, then the serious posts replying to the humurous posts.

I get a kick out of players and agents thinking they can play hardball with the Steelers. It doesn't work. Why keep trying. The Steelers could have dropped the rate to $500K +/-, or something like that. They didn't. They took the high road. Wallace is taking the low road. He has the right. It is still wrong. It is also a sign o stupidity.

If you want top 5 money, you need to show you're a top 5 receiver.

When has Mike EVER shown that? Sorry, man, I love ya, but you're not top 5. Not yet. Want top 5 money? EARN IT.

edit: Oh, and fire your agent. He's doing you wrong.

I think this could be another case where a 'source' is not revealing all the facts.

What do you mean by that. The steelers cut off talks with ward when he held out and said franco who a player is not going to push them around
