Pretty disappointing production from our 3 rd WR spot. Ben and Washington don't seem to have any chemistry whatsoever....We clearly didn't miss DHB at all today. Was Hunter active or did we sit both?
Rogers is said to be ready in a week or two. We can use someone to step up and take some heat off AB besides JUJU..... Whaddya guys think? Hunter and DHB are giving us nothing...

Looks like Switzer is Eli's replacement.

Washington has been targeted very little.

I would rather have more 2 tight end sets with AB and JuJu.

Hunter was active today, but I don't remember seeing him in the game. Washington has made a few plays, but overall he has been a disappointment.

Roethlisberger was 13-14 when not throwing to AB or Washington.

Has Hunter seen the field this year in regular season?

Agree, and so far I like Switzer more than I ever liked Rogers.

I think we have a #3 and #4 option in McDonald and Switzer. We need to continue to make teams pay with passes to our TE's and RB's. This will loosen up the coverage on the outside. Teams have focused on slowing down Brown and taking away the deep ball. Our coaching staff and Ben just need to take advantage. Ben needs to stop looking for bombs on every play and just take what the defense gives us.

I didn't see much of McDonald yesterday in the passing game. Looks like he was blocking a lot for Conner when he was on the field.

I think it will be difficult for Washington to make an impact this year. The stars lined up for JuJu last season with Bryants struggles.

AB and JuJu will demand most of the attention, then there is Conner, Vance and Switzer getting targets. Doesn't leave much for Washington. If he does start to show up, I don't expect it to be until after week 8.

Week 8 by then Bell will be back and they will be feeding him the ball to boost his stats for his big contract for next year.

I'm hoping with Brian Allen showing he can be a good gunner they let one of those 2 go. DHB serves one purpose.

I can’t believe tomlin and butler are wasting his talents and not playing him at safety.

I think Eli became expendable once the Steelers traded for Switzer. He has way more upside than Eli. Thank God the Patriots didnt get Switzer. They would turn him into the next Wes Welker. DHB is pretty much special teams only at this point. I have never been a fan of Hunter. If it comes down to it I think the Steelers would choose Hunter over Eli just because Hunter is way more of a deep threat than Rogers. Either way it looks to me like they consider Hunter no more than a 5th wide out.

I think this is the key. There are just so many options right now that Washington is not going to get the targets JuJu did. Washington will be fine. But with AB, JuJu, Vance, JJ, and Conner all getting a ton of targets, I'm not sure Washington is going to contribute as much as he would have in past years.

I never understood why people expect massive production from the 3rd WR spot. Especially now when our TEs are heavily involved in the passing game and are effective.

I hope Washington has a future with the Steelers, being a 2nd round pick and all.

His time will come when/if Mr. Rudolph enters the picture. He's not built like the slender speedsters Wallace, Sanders and Brown - more wide body tough like Ward. He and Rudolph hooked up well in Pre-Season as I recall. Still think it's a great problem to have: too many talented receivers.

With Brown, JuJu, MacDonald, James, and Conner it is going to be tough for Washington, Switzer, X-man, and anyone else to get a lot of passes thrown their way.

Washington has caught a TD this year. Give him time. It is way too early to discredit what he can do. It's about this time last year that JuJu even started getting a hat on game days.
