The blitzing they did in the third quarter — mixed feelings about that. I think theoretically it was a good idea because they did make a couple of plays but they don’t have the players who can get there consistently or good enough cover guys in the secondary.

If you got credit for charging five yards past the QB, Dupree would be Lawrence Taylor.

And Tomlin says Hilton has a “significant” elbow injury. Which sucks because he and Haden are the only guys back there who even have half a clue what is going on.

I like hip hop, all types of music actually. I spotifyed him and the tunes weren't so good, ain't no early Oukast, BIG etc... He should have just taken one of those deals. I assume the music is just for fun.

He played a great half. He has to make the opponents pay ... when they turn the ball over. He couldn't will this team into the endzone for an entire half. Good game but not great.

Everyone knows that when healthy he's the best pass catching TE on the team.

    When healthy.

I don't know why you'd have to argue about anything?

If Colbert had guaranteed 2-3 yrs of that 5yr contract. Then we wouldve had Bell locked in, but all that money and no guarantee, is no more than.... 5yrs of being franchised.

I agree, I would think 2 year guarantee would have worked. I hear 10-30 mil conversations, what was the guarenteed amount?

Unlike Week 1, don't think any of the announcers called him John Conner, even the Booger dude. ;)

30-38 on passes (79% of passes completed)
    353 yards
    3TDs
    1INT

Not too many QBs play as good as Ben. Just a fact backed up by statistics. A near 500 yard passing performance last week.

The Steelers have one of the best QBs to ever play the position, and yet I find it amusing so many people are so willing to denigrate him.

Be thankful for what you have while you have it. It won't last forever, and then you'll realize what you had.

Steve Young saying Ben must have an MVP season in order to overcome defense. He is carrying water for the team Steve said. The defense gave them the ball several times and the offense squandered those chances. So yeah bad defense but you can't just waste drives. Especially when they are giving you some great plays.

Theres a member here that still calls him Connor. Of course, it's 2 more letters than Bell so that may be giving him trouble.

Offense can't score every series. Defense is bad. Worse than bad.

It's been reported that the guarantee was @ $19 million and it was seen as an insult because of Gurley's deal.

Don't know how you can compare a relatively injury free, not considered one puff away from a year suspension and actually league leading RB with Bell though and get upset that he's not getting more of a guarantee.

On another note, I'd like to see a proposal for guaranteed contracts at the next CBA. It's going to be interesting for sure.

Not every series, but you have to make the opposing team pay for 3-4 turnovers. Both played well in the 1st half. The 2nd half, the defense was gassed. Long drives by the opponents and quick ones by our offense. Not one sustained drive for a score in the entire 2nd half. Is that putting a team on your back? That's a weak back

I have been one of them who has been pretty hard on Bigfoot...I mean Vance, that said what a game last night. That stiff arm ranks right up there with the Juju hit on Burfict and AB's foot slap on the Clowns punter. My knock on Vance is not his ability but his durability and the fact he is getting paid a lot to be on the sidelines more than the field. If Vance could have more than one game a year like this I am pretty sure nobody would have a problem with him. It was good to see him show up big time last night cause I like posting about how he played well in a win than I do posting about how he wasn't on the field in a loss. I hope to see more of this especially vs the Ratbirds........

It was better because he was actually blocking well, too, and he made plays James can't make. Compare what he did on the long touchdown to what James did on a very similar play later in the game. James goes down so easily once a defender touches him.
