    I have a feeling this is going to happen. Great landing spot for Bell. No better place to build his brand than in NY and they have plenty of capital to meet his demands and work out a long term deal. I don’t like that they don’t gave a 2nd rd pick to give though, can’t see them giving up a first and being without their top 2 picks in 2019. But maybe something like a 3rd next year and a 1st or 2nd in 2020. I’d take that.

    It is possible for the Jets to give up a first. However, much of that is going to depend on the outcome come Thursday in addition to how Todd Bowels feels about his team moving forward.

    Should he feel that the team is not close towards playoff contention and need another year, kiss that 1st Round pick goodbye. If he is serious on building for the now and sees the fact that his team could be close but needs one more piece, that first round pick is going.

    Either way Blast, call it a premonition but I suspected as much from the Jets. It is as I said (parapharse in this instance);

    "A young Quarterback whom will need a running game to rely on. A city known for its immense media market flair and the team itself is fated to do battle against the Steelers next season. What does Le'Veon Bell have to lose in the short term? Nothing."

    It could be a first for bell and a third. something like that.

    I can't think of a top tier Free Agent or player trade in last 25 years that the Jets didn't show interest in, or pull the trigger on.

    No way anyone gives up a 1st for Bell right now. We will be lucky to get a 3rd (better than the compensatory 3rd we would get if he walked in FA).

    I will be shocked if the Jets don't give up a 1st for Bell. Noway the Steelers make this trade and only get a 3.

    If they have to give up a 3rd to sign him next year, then why wouldn't a team give up a 2nd to be able to sign him this year? Given that line of thinking, maybe a 1st isn't that bad to give up.

    Now, as for the Steelers, I'd rather get a 3rd round pick for next year and defensive help for this year.

    I would not trade him for less than a second round pick+ and I'd cringe even doing that. He's worth a first round pick and that's what we should be asking. It could even be a conditional first round pick.

    Well if it’s the Jets,they don’t have a second rd pick in 2019.They do have two third round picks though.I like your thinking though.I’d love for the Steelers to get a first or second but don’t see it happening with a one year rental possibly for the Jets or any other team.I do know the Jets Have cap space for them to overpay.17 million this year and 90 million next year!Yes,that is 90!

    I'd trade Bell straight up for Jets safety Jamal Adams.
