As bad as the defense has been the Steelers need Boswell to win games. What do we do if Chris Boswell keeps missing kicks? We just locked Boswell down with a big contract. If Bos is spooked are we just stuck with him?

Stick by him and keep giving him his chances. If you don't you damage his confidence even more. He's been great here so far, he'll get it sorted out imo.

I'm still in the camp that thinks Boz will be just fine.

I also think Boswell will turn it around. But my point is, what if he dosent? If he continues to miss kicks there is not much the front office can do now that he just signed a big contract. Think of how many games Boswell won for us last year. His struggles may be just as troubling as the defense to this point.

Boswell is the least of my worries.

They have to stick with Boswell. Of course, it won't matter much if the defense keeps playing like it did last week.

I do wonder if perhaps we all overreacted a bit because the Chiefs scored touchdowns on their first five possessions against the 49ers today, too.

Go back in time and not sign him to an extension.

Once kickers lose confidence it's pretty much a wrap but it's still early.

Jesus, you're worried about Boswell when we keep running clowns like Dupree and Artie out on the field?

A struggling kicker will lose you more games than an any defender on your roster IMO.

Not on this team. This defense has lost more games in the past year than it's kicker has in his entire career.

Wondered the same thing. KC seems like a juggernaut right now.

Worst case, we sign another kicker and have two kickers on the roster. Or we just cut him and take the dead money hit. That's extreme. But I believe he will come through. Just needs that one kick.

You are not kidding about that.

Mahomes is truly the real deal. He has "it". How much? Not sure.

He is good enough to have the most touchdowns as a starter through the first three games in NFL History.

He looks great so far but we need to remember that the Chiefs have a history of starting off hot and then folding down the stretch.

There's no need to worry about Boswell after two games. It's a small sample size of failure. It happens and he's young.

If he misses 5-10 more kicks between now and week 8, then yes, we can then worry.

Well I guess if your aspiring to be the 49ers then yes but I have higher expectations for our D :smiley1:

We could have easily been 9-7 last year without his toe winning last second games.

That's what I'm saying. If Boswell keeps struggling the Steelers are in trouble.

That much is true. That defense is going to be an issue until Eric Berry gets back. They need him in the worst way as I do not expect Mahomes to continially light up NFL Defenses.

However, Patrick Mahomes is no Alex Smith. That kid has some SERIOUS arm talent; possibly better than Donovan McNabb had. Add up the weapons he has and Kansas City just might be challengers to the likes of New England and Jacksonville.

I agree AQL. The heartbreak of psoriasis and pangs of despised love are at the top of my list. ;)
