The 2014 Steelers started the first quarter of the season with a 2-2 record. They went on to accumulate 11 wins, finish 11-5, take the AFC North division, and advance to the playoffs.

0-1-1 does suck, but I think all this doom and gloom belies the true potential of the Steelers.

There is much more football to be played. And this team has proven that they can turn things around, more often than not.

Have a great rest of the week, y'all!

Our record isn't the problem, the way we've looked is. There's not much light at the end of the tunnel right now

The rest of the division has very tough match ups this week. Browns/Jets, Bengals/Panthers, and Ravens/Broncos so the potential for losses for all 3.

Who would have thought we could possibly be playing .500 ball after three games. :)

    It's mind bottling.

Cut him some slack. Apparently his mind is "bottled" which clearly affects one's ability to do math.

I've been mind bottled before. It sucks! It not only impairs your ability to perform simple math, it makes simple things like not peeing on the seat, hitting your mouth when eat, putting a right handed sock on the right foot, and walking and chewing bubble gum a real challenge. I would kindly ask that members of this board be a little more compassionate when posting about mind bottling. This is a real affliction and many people are impacted by this condition who hide it for fear ridicule. #bottledmindsmatter

2014: Yeah, but Le'Veon Bell got hurt vs. Bengals... and Ben Tate was our RB for the playoff game vs. Ravens. Steelers got their ass kicked. Miserable game. They lost to the Bucs with Glennon at QB and over-the-hill Vick and Jets beat them. One of many wasted years for Roethlisberger. They keep piling up.

1976 Steelers started 1-4 and no doubt in my mind, if not for key injuries, would have won 3rd SB in a row.

I think people missed that you said we "could possibly be playing .500 ball after three games," meaning if we win we will be 1-1-1.

I’m not sure our current defence is comparable to that one.

In my highly biased opinion, the 1976 Steelers defense was the best ever. Well beyond the 1985 Bears.

    A similar opinion:

Our current defense is not in the top bajillion.

We need more “lighter notes”. Too many people are going off the bridge over a game.
