0-2-1 start ain't making the playoffs. It's not mathematically going to eliminate the Steelers but it would be a huge hole to climb out of.

Fitzpatrick's probably licking his chops right now. Maybe even wishes he were playing tomorrow night already against our weak secondary.

If the Steelers were 2-0 and Tampa 0-2 I'd say Tampa wins but I think they'll get it together enough to take the w over the Harvard grad

Fitzpatrick may throw for another 400 yards and 4 TDs.. Unfortunately I see us losing another shootout because we just won't be able to make a stop when needed. 0-2-1

Really hope they prove me wrong.

0-2-1. Season will be in essence over. Jax will win the AFC if they get home field and it's looking like they will.

Getting Howard involved more, too. Almost 100 yards today and a TD.

We have a much tougher schedule this year than last year. So I do consider it a must win because of our schedule and the way we've been playing. I don't think we're good enough to go on a huge roll against tougher competition, so we really do need to win next week.

Agreed...our secondary sucks balls right now. Artie burns is getting burned on every play. But i do believe they'll pull themselves together next monday. At least the offense looks good. Big Ben looked vintage today, putting away any concerns we had last week after his performance.

Even though it’s sort of foolish to even be thinking about any noise the Steelers could possibly make this season (other than sobs of agony), if I have to take some sort of twisted silver lining, it might be this.... when talking about playoffs, I’m not sure homefield helps Pittsburgh. I’ve been at the last 2 home games.... we start out slow regardless, give aid and comfort to our opponents, and when we claw our way back and need the big play and Renegade is blaring, and the crowd is screaming and waving towels.... that’s when we give up the big first down....of course that similar to every other situation so it’s not Renegade’s fault or anything....

Point is, I’m not sure their chances are worse as a 6 seed than a 1 seed if they can somehow find ways to start winning games...

It’s not an AFC loss so it won’t hurt as bad.

What difference does it make if this team makes the playoffs? We know what happens there.

Steelers will not win another Super Bowl as long as Tomlin is head coach. Doesn't matter what they do this week or at the end of the year.

We have to get this defense playing better. I mean there were Chief receivers running WIDE OPEN.

I thought Bradley could help, ah maybe not?

Worst case scenario you better at least split these next 2 games with both Tampa and especially the Ravens at home. The Bengals play road games the next two weeks at both Carolina and Atlanta, and the Ravens play Denver who is 2-0 next week and then come here the following week. So looking at that schedule there is going to be an opportunity for the Steelers to right the ship and get back in the division race but you better start winning some games here within the next week or two. You can’t fall behind 2-3 games in the division only a month into the season. That’s going to be way too much to overcome and too many things have to start happening to a Steelers team that right now just doesn’t look good enough to play catch up.

Well, KC was a 'must' win game and they didn't win. Now TB is 'must' win game. What happens if you lose two 'must' win games in a row? Do you just stop and not finish the season?

Just win a game. To early for a must win.

Without a doubt this is a must win game as I see it. Bad enough that, in a division that sees an improved Cincinnati Bengals team, having a tie to a divisonal opponent, a conference loss and one of the four non conference games that could end up being a loss, those will likely come back to sting come the finalization of the playoff seeding.

Winning the non conference not only can put this team in the winners column but also add a non conference game under their belt for later in the season in the tie breaking process. Not just that, perhaps the win will give Butler some idea to simplify the communication.

Pittsburgh NEEDS this win; offensive talent being irrelevant. No excuses. Win out.

The Ravens game is a must win if we want to compete for the AFCN. We need to sweep the Browns & either/or Ravens/SB bound Bengals.

It's gonna be another shootout. Steelers offense will have to win the game. I can see maybe one or two stops, max, for the D vs. Bucs/Fitzpatrick. Steelers will have to score on 90% of possessions in order to have any chance of victory.
