So, they are going to limit Ben in practice?

They limited him in preseason. That worked out well in Cleveland.

We might get to find out just how ready Dobbs is to win them a game or two.

If he does horrible, Landry is still at home keeping the couch warm.

Or, here's a crazy prediction, they go with Mason and he never looks back. Just like Ben did to Maddox.

    Ben 2.0 :hehehe:

Dobbs is #2... so he'll get the start if Roethlisberger is too hurt to play.

    It was tongue in cheek.

Depth chart means nothing though. Right now, Id have to imagine it would be Dobbs but later in the season only the Steelers will know how these guys are progressing.

I don't think Ben will play a lot can be wrong in that elbow . The 1st. thing is pain and inflammation this could lead to a hematoma . I have seen this many times in my Career and arm strength and range of motion are effected greatly ..Ben didn't practice again on Thursday and usually about 48 hours and the swelling should be much better ,if he not practice Friday I think it will be Dobb's..

I wish I knew what the coaches (and people around here) see in Dobbs. He has shown me nothing as a QB in this league. Besides being really fast, he is not accurate. His deep balls are weak. And he's a 1 read and run QB.

He looked great in preseason against a bunch of guys who are currently either sitting on the bench, waiting on the practice squad or moving on with their life's work. Isn't that enough for you?

I don't know how to show you what you are missing but its there. It's no different than draft season when people have different opinions of draft prospects, sometimes you are right and sometimes you are wrong. Clearly the coaches think Dobbs is better than Landry unless people want to believe they kept an obvious inferior player.

I latched onto Dobbs at the combine during the QB drills. I thought who's that guy and started watching his film and reading up on him. His accuracy issues are overblown as is usual during draft season, most of his accuracy issues were in his first year, he cleaned it up a lot after that. Not sure why you are saying he has a weak arm, he actually throws a nice deep pass. He's more accurate with them than his short passes.

He has one glaring weakness as I see it, he struggles throwing an out. Thats kind of important.

Id actually rather see him out there Sunday than Ben if Bens elbow is truly jacked. Can't throw a football with a bad elbow. Don't care who you are. KC wouldn't have any time to prepare for Dobbs and his ability to run would cause them trouble. He could squeak us out a win.

If Bens elbow was just a little bruised though and they only limited him in practice to give it more time to heal, than of course I want him out there.

Nevermind Terry Bradshaw. Tommy Maddox injured his elbow. Ben stepped in and we never looked back. Is this history repeating?

Gotta be honest here: The guy is an idiot. He goes out of his way to hate on everything Steelers related. All over a petty situation that occurred thirty years ago.

I keep praying Ben repeats what Brady did in 2014. Everyone said he was done after the KC loss. They were 2-2. Then Brady played lights out and they won the SB. Unfortunately, we don't have a Belichick type coach.

I think all this is for nothing. unless he is in a cast or has his arm in a sling Ben is going to play and Tomlin will let him. If he is 75% Tomlin will play him.
