:roflmao: Hope away. I think whoever gets that spot will be someone who doesn't make it past the first round of cuts.

Seems a little strange not to let the hyped local boy into camp. Maybe they figure he has so little shot they want to give him as much time as possible to look for work elsewhere.

When moves like this happen, there's more to it then the fans are privy to, better to just trust them on it. I'm not going to lose any sleep over the release of this kid.

i read they liked adrian robinson the other udfa. he is from Pa. also. they also added johnson and i think, they think he could be the backup either for worilds or behind worilds if he's healed. johnson can play inside or out and robinson may be a guy they can bring along, if they decide to get rid of worilds for some reason. johnson can kinda be that go between. lindsey's speed was not top of the line either and maybe he had a hard time learning in ota's and mini camp. they also liked hicks from Fla. i think he's an inside outside guy too. we have some guys to choose from. i think that last opening may be for a CB before camp. they still may make a move for a mid level vet.

Yeah i dont quite understand this but bleacher report is saying the steelers will put him on injured reserve if he clears waivers. now its bleacher report so who knows but they did say he was running with the second team with worilds and harrison hurt but then again who else would have.

If they like him enough and want to keep him they can IR him IF he clears waivers.

No he will be claimed by New England out of spite for beating them in the regular season. This is BB's year of spite, this year he settles all the family business, next on his list is Goodell, how dare he take his secret tapes now his 10 acre video vault has a huge hole in it. Time to settle scores.

This is how I've always seen it work during the off season...the only other way to keep him would be PUP him at the start of camp...and into the season then IR him (or keep him on the active roster and then IR). Apparently is was serious enough to miss too much time (esp during the off season) or that he could miss more than that and they'd rather have someone else in that spot for now. The Giants lost their TE Jake Ballard to NE as they had hoped to bring him back and IR him, but NE scooped him up off waivers...while they thought it wouldnt happen, I wouldn't risk it on some players.

I think it stops teams from stockpiling talent on the IR with fake injuries.
