How Many of You Actually Like the Steelers?

I have been a fan since the mid 70'S. Enjoy the highs, ride out the lows ...

 

1970 for me, and I also offer the free pass. If they don’t win a playoff game the rest of my life, I will root for them. I will also speak my highly biased opinion.

Just like mac, I’ve had a season ticket for 49 years now. Although, on that first day in 1970, I’m going on record I walked into the stadium 1 minute before mac did.

 

We feel the love.

 

There have been worse, but yes this is on the list.

 

You mean like in ? That explains a lot.

 

I will always love the Steelers through thick and thin, and usually there is more thick.

That being said I really long for players like we had, Ward, Polamalu, Miller, Keisel, Smith, Farrior, Faneca.

Did some of them run the mouth yes, but they would usually back it up.

Could there be drama sure, but nothing like this team the last 3-4 seasons.

 

Over 60 years and I have quit counting.

 

Here I thought I was the only one.

As a child I fell off my bike... Bloodied up my knees and arms pretty bad... I was crying and angry and Threw my bike into the bushes!!!! Just then a big Black & Yellow bee flew out and stung me....... It hurt....... I ran inside crying to my mommy that a bee stung me and she asked about all my bloody wounds...... Wow!!! That bee made me forget about all my pains and worries..... As mom was dressing my wounds I noticed the Steelers were playing on TV .... 1970 something ..... And I Just knew it was an omen.... A sign from above so I've been a fan ever since .... So Yes!!!!

I like the Steelers!!!

I call plagiarism! That sounds like my story... minus the bees.

 

Grew up listening/watching the Steelers. They are on the local radio program. Didn't really get into them until I started playing football understanding football at around 13 years old. This is when they had Greg Lloyd, Chad Brown, Levon Kirkland, and Kevin Greene at LB with Rod Woodson, Carnell Lake, etc in the secondary. I loved the defense. My grandfather watched the Steelers. They have been the local favorite growing up in mid southern PA.

So the Steelers are a bit nostalgic to me and glad they've been able to manage a pretty good team to root for since I started watching.

I really have no complaints overall with how they've managed things and have always liked the Rooney's ownership. Think they stand for good things and are good owners, helping out the community, etc.

As long as the Steelers are around, I'll be a fan.

 

The details of my life are quite inconsequential.

 

I love the Steelers. I love them growing up as a kid in Packers country and I love them now living in Rams/Chargers country. But damn do they frustrate me sometimes.

 

I thought the D played better than anticipated Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised by the run D.

That’s my good word for the day.

 

Actually since a majority of the posters here appear to be on Viagra, I'm fairly certain my fan boner is bigger.
