It’s not a must win but it kinda is because of the hard schedule + future clunkers.

That's one of the reasons I don't like Tomlin and don't think we'll get to a Super Bowl again with him. Players can't be dictating things like this. They can't be in charge of personnel decisions.

Well.. Tomlin next makes sense.. But if Dobbs or Mason played like Ben.... we would never let them on the field again..
Let us not forget this game.. How many Pics.. How many fumbles? Maybe Ben should play a whole third game in preseason?

Steelers are always crappy in September. I predicted it correctly. Defense would play well for the most part. Offense would lay a gigantic egg.

    Watt, Hilton ...above the line.

    Switzer, Conner...above the line

    Ben, AB, Juju, Sutton, Boz....

Of the coaches who need to be on the hot seat, Joey Porter gets my vote personally. How much longer is Bud Dupree going to run up the arc?

Is he incapable of coverting speed to power? Something else? Yes, he got two forced fumbles but he really did not register many hits.

Dupree got Jacked Up on one play. Damn. Browns player laid a Hines Ward caliber hit on Bud. Vicious.

LOLandry played like that for years. Dobbs and rudolph are the reason they are gone

Which ones? Regarding Butler, I thought the defensive gameplan was fine. I did not see Sean Davis give up any big plays and, save for his antics, Artie Burns was not targeted more than five times. Of those five, he only gave up two catches.

Now, regarding the likes of Dupree and Sutton (giving up the touchdown), that is an individual issue.. more so for Sutton. Dupree is both his and Porter's issue.

The defense is pretty good when NOT giving up big plays. There was one very deep pass, don't recall who was the culprit and on the drive that Cleveland tied the game up, two sideline passes, boom boom score. Inexcusable to keep letting this happen.

Hope Joe Haden returns soon. What the hell happened?

Chiefs are gonna whoop the Steelers next week. That game will get ugly.

Problem is those teams which consistently change coaches never fair any better

I really thought they should have given JC a break before the fumble ,couple of us said it in the GD thread beforehand too.
JC did great IMO , Ben screwed this one up,we were up 14 with 8 minutes left!

5 tackles, 2 pass deflections, 2 qb hits, 1 sack, and 1 tackle for a loss.

    Yeah, he was garbage

We always play down to the browns, it's just what the Steelers do. But, the Browns are still the sh!tty browns. I mean 3 INTs and 3 fumbles lost??? For crying out loud, the sh!tty brown stains were +5 in turnovers and could only muster up a tie. Even an average team could eke out a win being +5 in turnovers.

I don't think it is merely a coincidence that whenever we have a clunker like this our franchise QB plays poorly.

Only the Browns could erase a 17 game losing streak by not winning

Alright my man. Not going to debate with you on something that has been the main shortcoming of both Porter and Bud.

And we had 6. I know you think of yourself as this uber objective fan/analyst, but your bias is obvious. There have been something like 3 wins when a team is -5 in turnovers. The fact we managed a tie should speak volumes to you.

5 minutes into the game and you’re proclaiming how awful Connor is. His first start was 135(?) rushing and another 40-50 receiving. Yeah he sucks.

They also had 5 turnovers doug Baldwin fumbled as well and to make it worse their turn overs were to an offense led by the most talented passer in nfl history who is a sb mvp and 2x league mvp and it was in a playoff game. Not to gun shy tie-rod Taylor in week 1 of the nfl season. I said before the game no matter how we play we will not lose because of tyrod and his ineptitude.

And Rodgers threw 2 interceptions making the Seahawks -3 not -5.
