Funny how the media always fail to see they are the biggest jerks of all.

A bunch of garbage written by a guy who in January 2004, resigned before starting a columnist job at The Indianapolis Star after he was caught lying about his education specifically falsely claiming a college degree.

Indeed. Even if I didn't know what you've just uncovered, I'd know this column was garbage. Good Guys? Matt Hasselback? Chad Ocho Cinco? DeMaurice Smith?

So I guess Pac-Man, Shawne Merriman, Jerome Simpson, ANTONIO CROMARTIE, and Ray Lewis were all relieved...

What's the deal with Cromartie? 12 kids halfway through his 20s? Something like 7 or 8 different women?

That's not just irresponsibly forgetting to use protection. This sounds like a serial impregnator. Is he one of those people that believes procreating is God's work, and he must do as much of it as possible? As long as he's rich and famous there's no reason for him to slow down. He could be in the triple digits by the time he's 50.

If ever there was a player you could predict might be bankrupt someday...

Down in Nashville about 3 hrs from me here in TN. There was a guy that was just on the news for having 30 kids! THIRTY! No job! Most from different women! He must be Cromartie's hero. He's in jail for not paying child support and doesn't even care.

You post is misleading. What is should say is "the media is still obsessed about the past"

You also wonder if you're, say, his sixth woman, you're thinking "Well, he didn't care about the others, but I think with me it really is forever..."

while that is true, I would not call that particular writer part of the media.

Who cares about that kind of talk?
As long as Ben works his ass off for the team and be a true leader, he could rank top of any offtopic list you can imagine.

For my part, if I was a coach I wouldn't ever line up a guy who doesn't work 100% for the team. If you care about stats, go join your fantasy football league.
There can only be one goal and that is going 19-0.

They can give Ben a jerk award for his behavior off the field, I agree with that, but you can chalk that up to imaturity. On the field, Ben has surpassed expectations by leaps and bounds because who among us expected him to win 2 superbowls in his first 5 years, and take us to a 3rd SB in his 7th year, and argueably could have won that game if not for some mistakes he and the defense made. I expect Ben to get this team back to a SB 1 or 2 more times before he hangs up his cleats, and if he does he can make the claim he had a hall of fame career, and he may have already done enough to make that claim...

Well, I don't want to defend this moron, but in his defense, IF Roethlisberger really raped someone (not saying he did, and I'm not saying this guy has grounds to say he did), IF he really raped someone, then 2 1/2 years would be meaningless. No amount of time would get him off the hook in a lot of people's books, including mine. Clearly this guy believes Ben did it, or else he wouldn't even bother. Then again, I'm a big "Ben's a jerk" believer for other reasons. Like the things he says.

What I still can't stand from anyone is the defense of Vick. A lot of people defended him every step of the way. Now it's the "he paid his debt" crap. He really did some horrible things, was convicted of doing them, and the guy goes through a whole "but hasn't enough time passed?" thing. And this guy was harder on Vick than most people!

This crap is irritating as hell. There's a woman who killed all her children by drowning them one by one and she's out walking the streets free. Where's the outrage over the real crimes, not accusations.

The whole thing that bothers me with that incident is noone but the DA's office looked at the entire scenario which is why no charges were filed against him. The girl he allegedly raped has an extremely promiscuous past having had sex more than 100 times and that was told by her friends who said she bragged about how many guys she slept with. They also seem to forget she followed him to 3 different bars and admitted it while wearing a name tag that said she gives good h**d. Mike Tyson had the same thing happen but the difference is he is an a**hole, but the incident he went to jail for was bogus, a lovely young lady does not invite someone who she was flirting with for an entire night up to her room after 2 am for milk and cookies. I think famous and wealthy sports figures are easy targets as they are mostly young lacking life experience and everyone around them is giving them whatever they want, a girl looking to boost her bank account could easily have sex with that person and walk to the ER claiming rape and what do you do, fight the charge like Ben and forever be ridiculed or pay the girl to keep her mouth shut and everything is great? I'm glad he fought it and these people who write about it simply don't like the Steelers otherwise Ray "the knife" Lewis, Donte Stallworth, and Vick all get put ahead of Ben for things they have done off the field.

Maybe there's a tweak in law needed. Looking from beyond the pond it seems the most part of you us guys have some interessting view on what is sexual harassment.
I can only scratch my head if I'm reading stories like the one of Brian Banks. When my understanding is right, his lawyer told him to say he's guilty cause of his "race", body and age.
So you can only hope your girl has the right attitude, when you are a big sports star.

When you look at the 1st girl that made those accusations it's obvious that she was looking for a paycheck. I mean to say that Ben would call her up to the room to check on his tv is seriously a story that a porno director would reject based on pure ludicrousness! Seriously, just consider the scenario with some 70s porn music in the background. I bet she even showed up wearing some skimpy tv repair man outfit!
