First to James Conners and then to Lev’on Bell?
I’m going to the Home opener against the Chiefs.
I’m thinking the place may go nuts for JC and Boo the heck out of LB.
The booing part may have to wait if he’s still holding out.

On another note he may wait for a road game to return?

He can hold out until week 10. Much of the fan reaction will be based on the longevity of his holdout. Given the immense improvement of James Conner overall though, I would imagine some jeers though if he returns sooner.

As I have stated before and, will state again though. If the Steelers truly feel Conner and the running back commitee as a whole are the future but can also assist in ascending the stairway with Bell returning before week six, trade him for more draft capital; a first and second rounder in next years draft bare minimum.

Might be announcing the defense. I highly doubt Bell will be there to get booed.

I’ll be right there with you for the KC game. It would be difficult not to want Conner to run roughshod over the Browns and see a bunch of Le’veon Who? signs in the stadium for week 2. I’m not sure it’s too late for Bell to be welcomed (by the fans) if he signs before that game and comes ready to play. Just hard to imagine at this point. Conner’s story and work ethic is inspiring.... Bell is becoming a cautionary tale....Fans want wins and Super Bowls but they also want people to root for....as Jerry Maguire said, Bell’s behavior is NOT what inspires people.... he may have been talking about Cuba Gooding....who at the end of Jerry Maguire got a 4 year $11.5mm contract and was THRILLED..... and went on to lead the Cardinals to defeat in Super Bowl XLIII..... I think I’m mixing things up now. See you at Heinz!!!!

Bell will get booed for sure. First and second rounder at this point is a pipe dream. We have no leverage. They can just wait to try to sign him when the year is over. We might get something done, but first and second is not happening unfortunately

Until he rips off a 40 yard highlight, scores a TD, then all will be forgotten.

I'm not in Bells court, I wanted him gone and still do, but, he will be a part of this team and hopefully can help get that 7th Lombardi and rap his way to some other team that will overpay and give him the 17 he so covets.

I concur with most of this post but Bell isn't likely to take any play 40 yards.

    I hope he's a permanent no show.

Those in camp have proven they want to be there so screw LB.

He'll get booed, then the fans will get all giddy and love him when he makes a good play. I hold grudges too much and too long for that...he's dead to me, I'm with JC!

Well.... last year he didn't score his first HOME TD until week 14...... so it might take a while to be forgotten.

If Coonner has a very good game then Bell is gone ...Bell has lost the trust of his OL the distraction is not worth it if Conner is ready ...

Bell is unhappy playing under the tag and might sit out 10 games to protect his health. He can't be signed to a new deal until after the season. After the season he becomes a free agent unless tagged again at a ridiculous price. There is no trade market for Bell. No way in hell do they get a 1 and a 2 for him. I'd be surprised if they could get more than a 5th rounder.

I predict Bell never plays another down for the Steelers. There is no coming back from this. Bell dosent seem to have a very thick skin. Im not sure he will be able to handle all of his teammates talking on him in the media. To Bell, it will just seem like more people are against him.

The next time Bell plays in Pittsburgh he will be booed unmercifully, because he will be the member of a different team.

I imagine boos would ring out the first time he gingerly runs out of touch rather than charging head down into a sea of bodies to gain additional yards

Unfortunately, that would cost him a 15 yard penalty these days.;+)

Of course. A couple good plays will change everything... but initially I wouldn’t be surprised if some people booed him.

I agree with your second paragraph tho. I just hope he returns, plays well, we win it all, and he moves on and gets paid by someone other than us.
