thank you Thigpen, I haven't been around in awhile and last time I was here there was alot of that talk about Wallace. Seriously tho, I try to make a point about steeler fans seemingly wanting to jump on the hate Wallace clan.....,instead of liking him or giving him props for things he accomplished just because he wants a raise....something all of us will do within our lifetimes only with the benefit of privacy which Wallace doesn't have, and you only focus on the adjectives I used because they aren't in this specific thread..............lame. You could have looked past it and saw my point. Where's the thread giving Wallace props for being voted in the top 50 of the best players? By the players............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................(crickets).................................................................................................................................................................my point exactly :hello:

Yes, shame on us for reading the words you wrote in your post in this topic, taking them at face value, and responding to them in context.
    Mmmkay.
Why didn't you just say all that in your original post? Most of us don't 'hate on Wallace', but you may want to consider your words more carefully if you don't want people to take what you say so literally.

It was discussed in a thread at some point, but I don't remember you being the one who brought it up...

The reality is Wallace should get a fair contract that keeps the team within the cap. This may be the issue, he may want a cantract that will break the cap and then WHO does the team have to sacrifice in the next several years? Pouncey? Troy? Woodley? Timmons? Ike? Harrison?

I hope he has discussed the cap issues with the organization and they are trying to do something workable. If he wants top WR money, it won't happen here in the 'Burgh. Look at the WR position when we won the SB in Detroit, Cedric Wilson...

Ok, I just went and re-read your post in case I misunderstood and nope, I didn't. Don't try and back peddle your way out by claiming others are lame for missing your point because that is, well, lame! In your response you wrote this sentence: "Rooney mentions he thinks Wallace should "be here" ( I think me was talking about training camp anyway) and there's immediately a thread calling Wallace a punk, diva, jerk or pouting". That absolutely did not occur in this thread nor was it why it was posted in the first place. I want Wallace in camp, getting in sync with his teammates, I care about the Pittsburgh Steelers winning, I don't care about Wallaces financial interests.

I don't care either, I'm just trying to be understanding and not think negatively of him. Just trying to focus on the on field stuff and try not to get upset at players for the buisness aspect.

Try reading my second post more carefully. I'm not back peddling at all. I said it was lame that from all I said you focused on the adjectives I used to respond to. Yes I clearly see that no one used those exact words before me and could/should have left them out, but you could have just seen the point I was trying to make and responded to that. Instead of just trying to be a smart ........

The problem I have with Wallace is the Steelers gave him his tender and no other team beat it,so he owes us one more year.

Not good stuff about Sanders being injured. Cotchery I understand is having a very good off season and could be the number 3 guy. Sanders is building a very bad rep as being an injury prone guy. He is hurting his chances. One of the Rookies could get a chance if he stays hurt this season. Also, they could let him walk after this season and concentrate on signing Brown. If he misses anytime and or games in the pre season because of injury, then lets get on without this guy. He would be wasting the organizations time.

Rookies Toney Clemons, Rookie Marquis Maze, and WR Derrick Williams all have a chance to make this team. Williams is very fast and can be used as a returner. So, Sanders has no room to be sitting because of injury. I feel his spot is not secure because of his injury prone history. I look for Cotchery to take his place at number 3 and one of the above mentioned names to take his roster spot if he is out for a pro longed period of time with an injury.

    Matt Forte?

That's why I don't blame Wallace for holding out. In the end this is a business and getting injured is bad for business.
