This guy is a total Punk.
I know football is a business, but it’s also a team sport.
Get to practice or get on.

He is the antithesis of a team player. If they can, they should work out a deal with another team and trade him.

They should have worked out a trade long before now. It’s time for him to be somewhere else. He’s lost Steelers fans that’s for sure.

If he misses games or plays badly, he will be booed. If he is back Sunday and plays well, all will be forgiven until after the season.

They most likely will right up until he scores a TD.

I was thinking the 49ers need a RB, their free agent signing McKinnon tore his ACL this weekend. Colbert should call them up and see how desperate they are.

It doesn't matter if the fans are sick of him, it matters if his teammates are sick of him so time will tell.

As I read this thread, I just keep getting distracted - by all the games I expect Bell to be a major factor for the win this season - to concentrate on what people are saying.

I say this as a parent which many of you are as well. You don't reward negative behavior. If he wants to stamp his feet and hold his breathe let him. At this point there is no trading him and gaining value, there is no letting him walk. The Steelers need to stand firm he has been tagged so he plays or he sits and loses money and accrued games towards FA. At the end of the season slap the transition tag on him and force team's to negotiate for him and get some compensation but you don't let him have his way.

He has shot himself in the foot by claiming this was about potential injury during the preseason so not showing up proves that narrative wrong it's about the money. He can try to claim tomorrow that not showing up makes him a man of his word as he gets to Pittsburgh but again his narrative is injury and value so his word is devalued anyway.

Which unfortunately there are players in that locker room who have said they support what he's doing.

I have been sick of him ..I don't really like his running style .I contend his running style hurts the passing game ...He doesn't help the team building process either with his antics..Just pull the offer and move on...

Use that 16 Mil for a strong Defender ...

How does Bell's running style hurt the passing game?

I get the frustration with Bell. I feel it, too. But these attempts to downplay his ability and production just get silly.

I'd assume it has to do with the play action game. Since Bell rarely hits the hole with speed and power prefering to be patient and glide east and west to an open spot it means that opposing teams don't need to buy the fake and can sit back and let the play develop. I don't know I'm spit balling here. With PWP it could be anything

I'm sick of Bells antics as much as anyone but the statement is pure rubbish. He absolutely helps the Passing game in both blocking and as a primary and a check down receiver.

Time to take the tag off and move on. It’s going to be nothing but a story line all season.

I'm pretty sure if he wasnt franchised tagged this offseason he would have been gone.
