Can't really say he was vengeful when a lot of our fines came before last season, which was the first season under the new CBA.

yes, but we also were vocal about the new england taping and what i consider coverup of the filming of practices. it hit home here because we played them in the championship games. so, he has alot of ammo he could hold against us. if he so chose to. we are high on the leagues radar it sure seems like.

It does seem only fair that there would be some independent dude to review these things and not goodell....he is not changing his mind

Yeah, I can see that, but think of your own workplaces, I imagine most people on here don't have some independent arbitrator they can file appeals to. If you do something wrong and you're boss fires you, that's it. If a law was violated, you may get your job back or get compensation, but if no laws are violated, your boss is judge, jury and executioner and there's nothing you can do about it.

Goodell does seem a bit power hungry, but at the same time, I think a lot of what he's doing is to give the appearance of increasing player safety. Football is and always will be a dangerous sport, but if Goodell can make it appear like he's increasing safety, then it could save them millions in lawsuits, and can keep congress from getting involved. The NFL did have to make changes or the lawsuits would just keep coming. At least now when this generation of players gets old, they'll have a much tougher time suing the NFL.

I have no idea if Rodge has an axe to grind with the Steelers, probably doesn't but it sure seems that way. At least lately he has turned his attention elsewhere.

Goodell don't care jack about the players. His mindset is to protect the pockets of the owners. That's what he was hired to do and that's his only purpose. He doesn't know football and is down right disrespecting the game and its previous players as well as current.
