Management has shown they will carry 3 QB`s on the roster, so I don`t see that changing. However, I could agree they have decided to deal Jones OR Dobbs, depending on what fetches the best value in a trade.

Keep Dobbs. Trade LOLandry if some team will take him.

If a team has an interest in either QB they most certainly will trade for him. If they wait for cuts, the team is not guaranteed to get the player. They will not want to compete with 31 other teams.

Josh Dobbs shined in the Pittsburgh Steelers' final preseason game versus the Carolina Panthers. Could the backup quarterback's good tape provide enough impetus for a team to trade for him?

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Good Morning Football on Friday that Dobbs is one quarterback who has "garnered interest" from around the league and could be traded over the next 24 hours

I’m listening to yinzer Paul Zeise on 93.7 The Fan this morning. He thinks we need to keep Landry because he has a proven track record of winning regular season games. I just don’t see it. If Ben goes down, we are up sh!t creek anyway. Keep the two young guys that have tremendous upside and trade/cut what we know we have which is nothing more than mediocrity.

We should have a poll for us to vote on who will be traded, Jones or Dobbs. I`m feeling a bit happy for them in that it seems both will have a job when it is all over, wherever that is.

Since so many teams are wanting Dobbs, which team is willing to trade a 2 or 3 pick for him, if a team wants him bad enough to give up a 2 pick for him or maybe even trade a starting ILB for him, it's going to be an interesting week end for sure, I doubt if this interest would be this high for LJ so who wants Dobbs bad enough to give up a 2 pick for him????

I would cut DHB and keep Dobbs, keep 4 QB's.

I would be ecstatic if we got rid of jones and kept dobbs...... Jones has reached his ceiling and isn't going to get any better, but Dobbs still has a ton of upside ....... I can envision a pretty solid future with Mason under center and dobbs as his primary back up... brings me back to the Bradshaw and Gilliam days

Dobbs pace of improvement has been more impressive than Jones. I don’t hate on LJ, and think he’s taken far more flak than he deserves. But Dobbs looks much the better prospect this season.

Ive been thinking though: say hypothetically a team offers a 7th for LJ, and another offers a 5th for Dobbs. Surely, given they’re both back ups, the team would take the higher draft pick? Regardless of potential.

Keep 4 QB's, 2 punters and 3 long snappers, the rest will work itself out.

I wonder if Gruden is one of the ones looking at Dobbs

Fill the rest of the places with safeties and we’re set for the super bowl.

Until someone actually offers a trade, he still doesn't. Let's see what a team actually offers.

Watching that how can you not love and respect the guy. He’s smarter and more talented than 95% of the Steelers Organization. If they let him go I’ll truly be upset

This one will go down to the wire with them waiting until 5 minutes before the deadline. Just to let all the options happen.

As far as trading to avoid missing out that really only a possibility for Dobbs. I think two weeks ago when we were talking about clearing waivers that is only for non vested veterans. So I don't think Landry is subject to waiver's claims and can sign with who every he wants like Haden did.

Heres a question for a poll.. When Landry has to come into a game or start one. Do you feel confident or disappointed he is even playing?

    Not disappointed, but not excited.

Maybe for that reason alone we should release him, even if we end up 0-50 loss.

I kid. At this point I say F it and go with the younger guys. A more interesting story.

I'd be surprised if it happened.

No balls no glory. Balls and stupid can go hand in hand.

Dobbs is a smart dude. He doesn't need football to be successful. He just loves it and has played it since he was five. He comes across as extremely coachable also, and the guy has the physical traits to be a deep passer, dual threat.

His physical abilities, character, and intelligence gives him incredible upside. Gruden sees it or he wouldn't have had him on the show. He's also seems like just a good guy. Kind of hard not to like him.

If I was making the decision, I'd go with Dobbs just for the hell of it. Makes life more interesting, but the NFL is a business. Dobbs doesn't look completely ready with inconsistent play at times. So it'll be interesting to see what the Steelers decide to do.
