Sunday Ticket question

Anyone know the official pricing this year for Sunday Ticket? I have heard that they have a special price this year of $199.00. I have also heard that there is a catch with that special price that is being advertised. That it is just for the games only and they are in standard definition and not Hi Def. If you want Hi Def and Red Zone and the mobil access that the price is even more?

Anyone know anything official? Also if you don't get the ticket if you do have Direct TV can you just get the Red Zone without getting the ticket?

 

The $199 price is just for the games only, but they are in HD. the $299 price includes everything. When I called them up the other day to ask if they were running any specials for it she said they had the early bird special. I was able to get the complete package (everything) for the $199 price!!! And was even able to break it down into monthly payments instead of all at once. Give them a call and they should work with you very well. The longer you have been there with Directv the better deal you can receive. If you cant get anyone to work with you, just call back untill you do. It took me 4 different people???

 

That's odd that you say the longer you have been there because I've been with them for 8 years now and they've never been willing to work with me on it. But what you just said gives me hope that maybe they've changed their policy towards their customers.

 

do you know if they offer the NFL Direct Ticket in an internet stream only option? I dont want the hardware or any of the other programming.

 

I know for outside CONUS they offer it without hardware and it's all streaming. I used the single game feature before on some of my deployments when AFN didn't have the games. I actually got a room at a pretty nice hotel just to plug my laptop up and stream the game to the rooms TV. I'll be getting one form of it this year since I'm in Japan.

 

I was told the Early Bird Special ended May 31st......She could have just told me that to get me to re-sign up at that time-which I did. I paid 199.00 and they broke it down into 50.00 monthly installments.

 

Hey TRUCKIN if you have a PS3 you can watch Sunday Ticket on there. I know when it first launched there were some problems with it but maybe they have the bugs worked out now.

 

I ran into issues with that and the NHL center ice package. They did an upgrade of the software and it locked me out. Also they never showed the pregame.

I'm not sure, but I think the NFL has all the pregame and adapts well to internet connections. Would like to know how the PS3 version is.

 

So it's possible to get a version of Sunday Ticket I could watch on my laptop without being a Direct TV subscriber??? And you can pay for single games and only pay for it the weeks that the Steelers aren't on regular TV?? I've never heard of this, but depending on pricing, it sounds amazing
