Agree....and if he isn't lighting it up in the return game I can easily see Rogers when healthy bumping him off the team.

With the Dallas connection, is this kid a relative of Barry the Bootlegger by any chance?

I could see them trying to turn him into an Amendola type slot WR.

This guy fits all the credentials to be a slot WR in New England. Hard to believe he wasn't there.

It wouldn't shock me to see him hang it up. Said he's not chasing Jerry Rice and playing till he's 40. I read that in a recent article.

And if we have a good season and Oakland doesn't, it will amount to very little change in spots of where we will be picking.

Interesting. He's 23. Gruden basically lost this guy and acquired a round higher pick with our 5th. We get their 6th, which who knows might not be that much different.

He apparently has an issue with not securing the ball before running.

He looks smooth in his movements, and if he can play the slot he provides another option at receiver. Something Henderson couldn't have done. Overall a good pickup.

Hope Henderson lands on the practice squad though.

Basically, but he can play the slot. Apparently they had no faith in Henderson as a wide receiver.

I guess so....lets hope his production at least quadruples with Ben throwing him the ball. His receiving stats so far leave a lot to be desired. I realize he projects as a slot but he better make his money on returns because we already have a slot WR currently on IR that has some chemistry with Ben.

I highly doubt he will see much of the field as a WR except for situations like we saw with Henderson last week where they are trying to get him the ball so he can do something after the catch. That's ok though we're deep at WR iMO.

Probably right. It would be nice to get some production from him other than returns because they can be limited. We are deep at WR but who are our proven slot guys? It most likely forces us to keep 6 WRs which we might of any way but like I said ,who's the slot? I don't consider Hunter or DHB reliable so that leaves us with AB,JUJU and Washington but he is a rookie and so far from what I've seen and or what's been asked of him I don't see much from him in the short passing game. WR is deep, but it's really a fragile situation as well.

Thinking more about it maybe Tucker before he got hurt or Patterson had /have a legitimate chance at knocking Hunter or DHB from the roster. Tucker was really excelling at STs too and Patterson is doing a nice job too. That could be there path...

One thing that's nice is that both Bell and Samuels can play the slot. Samuels line up more at receiver than running back in college, with a lot of that coming from the slot. I know it's yet to be seen in the NFL for Samuels though. Guess we'll find out.

Respectfully disagree.... don't see either as a viable consistent threat from the slot. Maybe for routes around the LOS but no where near a true slot receiver...

Does this mean AB won't be returning punts anymore?

I think good kick returners might become relevant again. I've been noticing a lot that teams don't want to give up the extra 5 yards on a touchback. Some of them have started to attempt to kick them at right the goal line on purpose.

Anyway if the guy can be sure handed and not fumble, and get a touchdown or two this season I will be very happy.
If he brings anything decent to the offense it will be a bonus.

More than likely but they have been trying for multiple seasons now with not much success. Hopefully that changes.
Eli Rogers was handling it some last season but, he fumbled one, that led AB to doing it again I think.

I didn't think any of those guys were going to make the 53 anyway.

Maybe Najeh “Dump Truck” Davenport can come back to the team.
