I like the pickup. Idk why Dallas traded him he could have really helped them. But would have preferred If we traded for earl thomas..

Must be a revenge move for dealing MB off to the raiders. Move doesn't make much sense to me.

So we are keeping 6 WRs then? Hopefully this means Toussaint is gone.

We really do need a decent return guy. After watching Cam Sutton cough the ball up in the pre-season game that was enough for me to want AB to keep returning punts. But, we really need a guy to keep AB from doing that job any further. It be really sad for the best WR in the NFL to get hurt returning a punt.

Maybe they're done with Rogers or his rehab has had a hiccup?

We have had no return game to speak of in the preseason. No one has stood out. Also, this gives them a quick slot type receiver Incase Rodgers isn’t able to make it back after the PUP list stint.

He also could just not make the team. Let’s see what happens though.

A fifth-round pick is a bit steep but it's worth it if this fixes up our return game.

OBJ just got 5 years, $95 million.

    That is almost QB money.

I hope the salary cap goes way up, or AB will be impossible to pay when it's his turn again.

Agreed, and it really has nothing to do with Washington. I'll believe that Switzer will make an impact beyond returning kicks when I see it.

AB is signed through 2021. When the 2022 season starts he'll be 34 and maybe the Dez Bryant of his time, looking for work. His last contract was the only chance for him to make big money. AB won't be a cap problem with his next contract. But if he fades fast he might be one on the last yr or two of this one.

But really, as long as there's a cap, there's a natural preventative to overpaying players. If somebody want to way overspent on RB or WR or LB, they has less $ to spend on the rest of the team. If OBJs contract s really too big, the Giants will feel the pain soon enough. And a lesson will be provided to other owners paying attention.

You're right. Thanks for the correction! I should have read harder people posting.

We sent our fifth while they gave up their sixth.
