Looks like your friendly neighbor that tells stories of how he had a bright future in the nfl but blew out his knee

Also,I know it just preseason but if the new 92 can get to and put pressure on the opposing qb....and bud ,chick and whoever the hell else the line up at outside backer cant, than he should be given a chance...my patience has run thin with dupree

Agreed. He played well tonight, and he'll probably make the squad.

Definitely Fort and Matt Thomas should be on this roster for ILB

He's too athletic to let go. He's got a lot of upside. You need athletic linebackers in this league anymore. He showed good abilities in coverage. He should make an immediate impact on special teams.

Yeah he won't be starting, I see Tyler M behind Bostic and Thomas right now. Tyler might stick around for his special teams though.

That AB did not go tonight, very unusual for him. He likes the work. Probably won't suit up next week either.

TJ Watt not ready. We will be knocking some serious rust off the first 2 weeks of the season.

True lol. Especially if we are talking about BD and over pursuit. I think mac meant to add that the defense seems to be converging on tackles. Likelihood of missed tackles diminishes when you have 4 guys meeting at the ball

What jumped out at me was the way they were trying to use Dupree by lining him up inside and in space to try and tap into some of that athleticism. I still say lining him up at OLB and having him rush the passer is a exercise in futility. With all the talk off season about using safeties as hybrids it looks like we may have found a alternative. What they were doing some of last night was taking Chickillo off the field and putting in Thomas for his versatility and speed. Over at the St. Depot they have a article about his usage and in fact even have a package named after him (Seminole). When Watt returns I can see them using Dupree and or Thomas in a non traditional OLB role. I really like what I've seen from Adams and OA and I think they may be around here for a while. How Dupree adapts to this new role will play a big part in whether or not he's here beyond this season. I could see a scenario where Thomas shows enough to where we don't invest n Dupree long term.

Something else that jumped out at me....did we see enough in both playing time and impact from Sean Davis to feel good about the FS position? I mean pre season for starters is basically over...

I think the jury is out on that subject until 2-3 games into the season?

Yea, giving up 45 to Jags in the playoffs at home has been eradicated due to one preseason game. Excellent.

What did I learn? Quite a bit.

Zach Banner looks to be another "Munchak Mausoleum" in the making depth wise. Pushing the likes of Jake Rogers off of not only the snap count but the Practice Squad all together means he will have a good shot sticking with the team. With time and continued motivation, Banner could be something more.

Mason Rudolph will improve in time. It is simply a matter of how long, not when. Has improved every game. The final preseason game could be very telling.

Terrell Edmunds can be more than a mere sub package player in his rookie season. Should Burnett's injury woes continue, I will have no issue having him be the starter over Burnett (although if what I believe to be true comes to fruition, this just expedites Keith Butler's plans).

Matthew Thomas and Ola Adenyi both have likely secured a roster spot; especially Thomas. Should anything happen to Bostic, I am comfortable with Thomas being the backup.

I think it is safe to say that either looking for a Tight End within the roster cuts towards the final 53 or having one as a high priority in the 2019 NFL Draft should be in the cards. Simply going into Free Agency or trading for one is not going to cut it anymore.

Dupree looks way more comfortable on the right side. Definitley acquring more pressures but also dropping a lot more in coverage. How often will Dupree drop into coverage for the 2018 Season will be telling for certain.

Have not heard too much from Sean Davis. Then again, he has had a good Preseason in spite of his lack of on field headlines. Not bad but not great either. Hope to hear more of him based on turnovers.

Regarding hearing anyone, have yet to hear anything regarding Artie Burns. He only has given up two passes the entire preseason if I recall; both in the game against Green Bay. Of those two passes, neither were thrown by Aaron Rodgers; another feather to his cap. Has Burns finally arrived as a premier number one corner? Time will tell but so far so good.

Lavon Hooks just might push L.T. Walton off the 53. Dude has had a solid camp and a rock solid preseason. While his snap count has been growing, L.T.'s's has been declining. Both will likely be on watch come Thursday.

Of the rookies of the 2018 class thus far, I am most thrilled about the development of Chukwuma Okorafor. He is capable of being a swing tackle. Personally, I think he is capable of so much more. Time will tell but he has progressed faster and further than most were expecting.

Plently more but the aforementioned were my biggest takeaways.
