The "okay" was not directed at you. :)

The okay was in response to PFF. Yes, they are not wrong in their overall assessment of Edmunds but the more critical part of his abilities is something they did praise; run stuffing abilities.

We did not have much of a "Strong Safety" last season. Now we do with Edmunds. Edmunds will be able to contribute for the Steelers sooner than later; negative takes on any other shortcomings he has being irrelevant.

Yeah I thought PFF had him ranked as a 5th or 6th round pick, which is frankly absurd.

Every year somebody's gonna be the 32nd best 1st round pick.

Terrell Edmunds The Worst-Graded 1st-Rounder So Far This Year By PFF
    https://steelersdepot.com/2018/08/t...aign=Feed:+SteelersDepotBlog+(Steelers+Depot)

"And according to Pro Football Focus, safety Terrell Edmundshas been the worst-graded in their system of all the first-round picks to date through two preseason games."

"Being given an overall preseason grade to date of 38.3, the site says of Edmunds that he “has played 73 of his team’s 130 snaps so far this preseason and has been a useful asset to the run defense, where he ’s produced one tackle and a defensive stop on his 22 run defense snaps”. In spite of that, he “has yet to find his feet in coverage and has allowed seven receptions for 69 yards and two touchdowns from just eight targets in primary coverage”.

When someone who collectively was viewed as a 3rd-5th round pick goes in the 1st, what kind of grade do you expect?

    Dead last.

We knew he was pretty big and fast - no one ever disputed that. Where the concern lies is his lack of instincts, poor cover ability and taking bad angles.

We won't know what's what until he has to cover deep seam and crossing routes from legit NFL tight ends. THEN we will see how real he is.

If Edmunds can learn to stop overrunning his routes, he'll be lethal.

I'm super impressed with Washington, though. The offense will likely continue to perform at a high level and me thinks he'll be a terrific part of it.

Probably the most soothing part about Washington being legit is that if Ju Ju or AB go down, we will have some depth at WR.
