It is not a rivalry when one team dominates another team. This sounds like a Cleveland Browns fan trying to say they have a rivalry with the Steelers.

Jags are 5-4 vs ben all time and 2-0 in the playoffs AT Heinz. 4 of those wins at Heinz.

Patriots, Jags, Eagles, Raiders... mike glennon = Steelers kryptonite lol

Patriots is like thanos to us. They just show up and we disappear.

Not a rivalry when you get beat twice in a row in your house by the team..

Jacksonville is not a rival regardless of the scores.

Still can't believe Jacksonville, an inept offensive team that couldn't score a TD against the Bills ...scored 45 against us in Pittsburgh considering the weather conditions. Being overseas I couldn't watch the game live but chalked it up as a guaranteed win. When I saw the number 45 next to their name, I thought it was a misprint. Now I may be more afraid to play the Jags more than the Patriots ...they own us

to be fair they were 5th in scoring I believe. They score when they get turnovers. good redzone offense + creating turnovers = high scoring.

Our team racked up tons of yards between the 20's but couldn't put it in the endzone. combine that with turnovers and a defense that couldn't stop squat is why we are always top 3 in yards but like 7-10 in points.

I will always say this, just because one team does something does not mean that you will do the same. Matchups, coaching, luck, refs all play a factor on how a given game would go.

"Baltimore shut down green bay we could do the same!" *scores 28 on us*
"Buffalo allowed only 10 points they should be a breeze!" *scores 45 on us*

our defense as a whole has more or less been improving as the years go by. They have ups and downs throughout the season which they average top 10 defense. The problem is when they have downs it gets ugly. Butler can't adjust to save his life and tomlin plays scared.

last 2 playoff losses has been a combined 67 points given up by the defense. That is not playoff caliber defense.

If Tyler Matekevich was compared to L.J. Fort, Fort is far superior based on the last 2 pre-season games. I have no idea why they call him "Dirty Red". You should be good at something to be given a nickname ...he's not good at anything. He does not play NFL-caliber football in my eyes, he always loses his battles every snap. Fort's play has caught my eye the last 2 pre-season games...

That previous rivalry created one of my favorite moments in Cowher's career.

For some unknown reason we struggle against them. Even when Jacksonville was bad, they seemed to have our number.

I can remember Mark Brunell playing good against us, David Guard would play decent. Fred Taylor once ran for over 200 yards once in a game against us. Maurice Jone-Drew used to have field days. They have some voodoo doll for us. Not sure why.

I live in NE FL. Jag fans _wish_ we were rivals, as that adds credibility to their franchise. I think it's fair to say we were somewhat rivals in the mid/late 90's, when they were in our div. and they were on an upswing and we were rebuilding. But to claim they "own us" is hardly accurate, unless your memory only accounts for 1 year at a time. Before last season, I think we were a mere 2 games below .500 with them, with most of their wins coming at their historic best and us in a down cycle.

A LOT of people forget, those late 90's Jags teams were freaking stacked:

Head coach: 2-time Super Bowl winning Coughlin
    QB: Brunell*
    RB: Fred Taylor*
OL: Tony Boselli*, Ben Coleman, Wade, Zach Wiegert, Leon Searcy*
WR: Jimmy Smith*, Keenan McCardell*, Reggie Barlow
    TE: Kyle Brady

DL: Tony Brackens*, Seth Payne, Gary Walker, Joel Smengee/Wynn
LB: Kevin Hardy*, Lonnie Martz, Bryce Paup*
DB: Bryant, C. Lake*, Darious*, Beasley

That's 11 Probowlers who started out of 22. I wonder if that is very much talent?

I can believe it. You saw the steelers tackling and generally piss poor effort defensively last year? That explains the 45 points.

Yea, and the Bills held them to 15, at Jags' house. Our D has been a cluster F--- ever since Shaz went down. And what did they do in FA or the draft to fix it?

Jags defense must suck to though when you think about it. I mean Steelers put up 41 points in that game.. Weird
