I am usually NOT the "sign every player who gets cut from another team" guy. In all honesty, such assertions are usually foolish. But in this case..............

Iloka is a solid S in his prime, having missed only 4 games in 5 years and had 9 picks in that span. And he can actually tackle. Dump one of the loser safeties we picked up who is currently stinking up the joint.

You want to win another ring? Than get some balls and make smart moves. Don't just sit back on your recent decisions without considering improving more. GROW SOME BALLS.

I don't get it, why was he cut? Just a salary thing?

Are you familiar with Mike Brown? Ilo was scheduled to make $6 mill a year, the next two. Mike Brown is a man who chose to share jockstraps among players - sure, they washed them in between uses but talk about a cheap bas---d. If he thinks he can get out of paying a player $6 mill a year he will. They have a rookie who they think can do as well as Ilo so, boom goes the dynamite.

I said it in the thread in the general NFL forum. I wouldn't look for them to reach out to his agent until after Saturday's game or if Sean Davis continues to be sidelined with an injury. That may be too late but I don't think until after an actual work week and game will they know what they have

Unless there are character issues to emerge, I think he'll be asking for more than Berhe, and more like Burnett money. Although safety stock is low around the league.

Maybe they think he can't adjust to the new rule about hitting with your helmet. The guy had trouble doing things legally even under the old rules against the Steelers.

That said, it is at least worth a conversation to find out what he would cost.

No Thanks, I will take what we got. Unless Earl Thomas becomes available.

Probably...I just thought maybe he wanted to play for a real team in the AFC North and have a chance to stick it to the Ben-gals twice a year

If they are planning on keeping Behre, that alone makes it worth the move. He may be useful on special teams, but on defense he is awful.

They basically did this last year when they signed Haden so I'm not sure why you are making it out like they never do this sort of thing.

I beg to differ. If it's a smart move, the Steelers will NOT do it.

According to Glenn... true Steelers fans are not allowed to be critical of the players, coaches or front office.
