Jarvis Landry has already predicted the Browns will win the Super Bowl.....

...and last year Peppers predicted the Browns were going to "shock the world."

    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...bowl-this-year-if-team-plays-up-to-potential/

I lived in Erie, PA. for a good # of years, so I have a good deal of Browns' fans friends.

No matter how embarrassed they get creamed year after year, they all think "this is the year" even coming off a 2-year span of a 1-31 record. Scientists should study Browns fan.

Scientists don't need to waste time on a study....it's pretty obvious all they will find are broken hearts and no brains....:smiley1:

Why even bother for a team to have hope for a bright future you ask?

The same reason you critique specific aspects of the Steelers; aspects that are overrated narratives.

    Because they can.

I admire their restraint in not trying to put a hit on Art Model when he moved the team. They had Darth Hoodie and he was just beginning to prove his ideas worked. Then boom no more team and 20 years of futily

Earlier this offseason some of the Browns were saying they have the best receiving core in the NFL , now Josh Gordon isn't even in camp.

Seeing how Jarvis Landry recently called himself the best wide receiver in the league, Im not surprised he proclaimed him self Super Bowl champion too.

Hue Jackson was retained and that cements their future, one filled with failure and extreme sadness for Browns fans. Just mind-numbing that he is drawing Head Coach wages.

Well, I was attempting sarcasm. i meant it to mean "why should we even try, Browns are winning the Super Bowl" because Landry said so. I was not good at communicating that. My bad.

Browns are interested in Dez Bryant, apparently.

Going all out in FA for the super bowl run.

Browns players should have SB aspirations, no matter how far fetched they seem. I wouldn't expect less from a pro player tbh. That cockiness is needed. And it may be one reason why they took Baker Mayfield in the draft over some of the other QBs. That supreme confidence may be beneficial when trying to get over that "losing tradition".

The Browns do have a good team on paper. I won't at all be surprised if they start taking steps forward this year and become competitive in years to come.

They probably going to beat the Steelers this year. In a way that is a Superbowl...Maybe that is what the Browns are talking about ?

What do you expect them to think? Did anyone including eagles fans think they were going to sb champs last offseason? I doubt it

    Not really.

    http://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchart/CLE

How many of their starters would you take over ours?

Starting with most important, by far, position, QB (either Taylor or Baker)...Pgh, by far. (Almost end of discussion right there).

    OL...Pgh, to a man.

RB...they have no one in Bell's territory. Pgh.

WR...AB, Ju Ju vs. Coleman and Landry (and Janis). Pgh.

TE...McDonald, James vs Fells, Njoku...I'll take Pgh.

DL - 4-3 vs 3-4 not apples to apples. Push.

    LBs - Push.

DBs...I'll say push, but I think Pgh's is better.

I realize you never said they were better than the Steelers, on paper, but still, just comparing to see how they stack up right now.

It’s part of being a fan. A concept some Steelers fans won’t ever grasp. Those same fans will jump ship as soon as the Steelers have a losing season.

    Watch them sweep us.

“Obviously they are a talented team. We acknowledge that. We will take the necessary steps in order to move forward. They got a good football club. “

Outside of the Rams, we have the best roster on paper, so that exercise you did isn't really indicative of anything.
As I said, the Browns have some talented players as well as some good young players that may or may not pan out. Time will tell, but I do think that they are building something promising.

But yet the Steelers usually lose at least 2 games a year they should win on talent alone. This has been happening with regularity since '14. I don't count the 8-8 seasons... they were clearly in rebuilding mode.

Just because you say so, huh? got it. Whatever Shanner asserts is true, no examples or proof statements needed. It is so just because he says so. Oh, and never mind that D is 50% of the team; talent is only evaluated on O players only. Never mind that it has proven 1,000 times over that D wins championships. Never mind that our D was the very worst at tackling in the entire league.

Never mind that J-villes talented D beat our @sses twice last year, once in the playoffs. Oh yea, but the Steelers are so super talented (when you only consider the O, that is).
