Aye. Quite a nice and understated response from Ike there, as well.

Sapp rarely says anything of any worth on NFL Network as it is. Analysts are paid to know a bit more about a team than simply the guys he remembers playing against.

I can't say for sure but I kind of remember Porter doing something like this. I'm 99% sure it was him

It was Porter and Gildon, they grabbed Sapp and Nate Webster by the throats. I see that he has been bashing us again saying that we won't make the playoffs and won't even finish .500. Does this fat slob ever shut his mouth? You got to love when he proclaimed our defense to be old and slow last year and we finished as the #1 D in the league. I love how Larry Foote and Ike Taylor respond to his comments. Here is another article from Steelers Depot that tells a little more.

I miss the attitude Porter carried with him. I liked when he challenged Ray Lewis to a fight after the game and I like that he grabbed Sapp by the throat. We haven't had that fire since he let. Harrison is fiery on the field, but he doesn't seem to have that same attitude that Porter had 24/7. We need someone like that.

I agree, I miss that attitude as well. We have definitely lacked that since he left.

I sincerely believe Ray Ray was scared of Porter. He didn't dare get off the bus when Porter challenged him. Remember when Porter got kicked out of the Cleveland game before the game even started for fighting? And that "...they shot me in Denver!" speech was one for the ages. LOL!!!

I remember Porter doing it. He was always protecting his side of the field during pre-game warmups. He'd patrol the line mouthing off at the other players.

I like to see fire in players...to a degree (no pund intended). I like it when it fits within their personality. JH plays with fire he doesn't, necessarily, speak with fire. Big Ben, if he said some of the things that Porter said while he was here he would be crucified. It really depends on who is delivering the message and if they can back it up.

Not me. I don't think it's necessary. Attitude on the field is what matters. I'm not a fan of "talk." If anyone thinks Harrison would let Sapp or anyone else pick on his teammate, they're wrong. I want guys who finish fights, not start them.

I loved porter pregame. Daring anybody to meet him at mid field. The best part is he always backed it up

I seem to remember a story where Porter called Ben out in a team meeting to stop being a dick... can't remember the details though.

Anyways, I love watching the Porter fire in hindsight. But as I've said on here before, there were many times where it backfired. It doesn't work unless you back it up on the field. His last season with us was just mouth over action, and it was frankly frustrating to watch.

So I'm basically a fan of how Porter played on the field, which is no different to Harrison's approach really (few moments can beat that shot in the Colts play off game where it's 4th down, and Porter's standing there, on his own, watching Manning in the huddle, and you know all he's thinking is: I;m going to kill you. But I could well see Harrison doing a similar thing).

I liked Sapp as a player, but after the last couple years of watching him on NFL Network, I usually turn the channel when he comes up. He's by far the worst analysis there is...... First the steelers are too old on defense and can't win--- they finished with the #1 denfense--- Now they have no leadership and won't finish .500-

I miss Porter attitude pregame he would be in a t-shirt talking trash to the other team see the fight with Browns rb William Green. I also liked how he called out the Colts for being soft then he backed it up sacking Peyton Manning.

Actually, he got on the bus to challenge little Ray Ray to a fight. Dared him to get off the bus and fight him and Ray Ray cowered in the back of the bus like a little girl.
