Should be revisited or is this an exhausted topic? At this point current teams stand to lose both players. I'm good with a straight up trade or a late draft included with Thomas since he has been slightly more injury prone as of late. Thomas could hold down the deep safety position which there are question mark's about. There are a surplus of safeties on this squad now...not sure what to think of that.

    Any takers??

Sean Davis didn't do well at SS, so my faith in him at FS is low but still not enough for me to pull the trigger on that trade. Davis is fast so hopefully he can provide some range back there.

the gain at the safety position doesn't overwhelm the loss at the RB position

You should know the steelers dont have any rights to trade Bell for any player while he isn't under contract.......

Hell... rescind the tag on Bell and ask DeMarco Murray to play for one year. Murray, Ridley and Conner would be enough. Murray retired too early.... he still has some gas in the tank.

Bad trade as of now. We could have been done that and got a rb in free agency or drafted a rb high to offset that. We dont have at this point someone to offset the blow of leveon. He's hard to replace.

I dont know about that, the patriots traded their leading pass rusher Chandler Jones to the cards for a second round pick because he wanted an 80 mill deal, so he led the league in sacks last year, the cards gave him 84 M to keep him, truth is no player is irreplaceable if they play hardball for a new contract and a team thinks he is over priced, then let him go to get it....

We dont compare to the Pats and nobody does. Bringing up what they do isnt a good measuring stick.

I don't care how good he is, I'm starting to look forward to him not being on the team anymore. Obviously he's all about greed ...it's not the Steeler way ...I think once he get his money from another team, he'll check-out...

Do we use Conner in scoring situations over LB just to send a message this year?

Max Starks, who didn’t have half the talent of Bell, played on the tag 2 years in a row. Same as Bell. Why didn’t he get the abuse Bell is getting?

    Because he couldn’t rap?

Max was a just because we had nobody else move. He didn't turn down huge offers either. Max was way over paid at that time.

Because his tags were transitional and only paid him 6.9M on the first tag and the second tag was 8.4M but was swallowed up by his 4 year 26M deal which he only played for 2 years for 10M guarantee then was resigned for vet minimum 1 year 850K, he hung around here for 9 years and won 2 rings, tomlin liked the guy so he kept him around as long as he could.....
