Ok, so we know Bell will be gone next year. Where do we go from here?
We will have cap money to spend in fa, and money to extend some of our own.
Who should we target to ensure our O doesn’t regress and possibly improve our D?

RB can be had in the draft. Need LBs and possibly CB in Free Agency... should have the cap room.

    Who crapped in your cereal?
Not 100%, but confidence is pretty high that he's not on the roster next year. Hence OP's start to this thread. Is this a Taboo topic now?

Bell's odds are better to not play at all next season (injury, dumbassery) than for the Steelers to meet his demands.

I’m just worried this cancer will ruin another legit championship opportunity. Between him and Mike good lord my brain hurts.

The ONLY way I see it as a possibility is when he explore free agency, if no team offers as much as Pgh already has. IF that happened, he could come back, but odds are that is not how it will go down.

There is validity to this statement. Colbert has said they'll try again after the season is over.

He may be PC or truthful but there is a chance.

    That made no sense.

I read Colbert say he would like Bell back next year. I read Bell was open to it. Therefore, “no, actually we don’t”.

We would have been so much better off being done with his **** after last year. Drafted a RB higher to committe with Conor and used cap money on a LB

Now we have people speculating he will hold out into the season (I don’t think he will pass up almost a million a game personally) but more worrisome he will do everything he can to stay healthy. Meaning avoiding hits and practice and probably not pushing hard if he is nicked. He’s way to important to worry about this nonsense. I blame the front office for allowing this to go on another year, they should have known he wasn’t going to sign!

I don’t know if I agree with your odds, but your scenario is very real. This has happened many times with Steeler free agents. They find out what they are worth. If they want to stay, and I believe Bell will, he likely will give the Steelers the opportunity to match. Whether they do, your quests is as good as mine.

So after another year of beating and a year older the Steelers are going to give him the guaranteed money he wants next year? His agent as much said this is his last year. They have had two opportunities to get a deal done and nada. It’s over man.

Act like you are some authoritarian on every subject when if fact you know jack squat. You think Bell signs with the Steelers next year? I got a Venmo account you can settle a bet with me on. JO

I’m not going to bellyache about this anymore. It’s a bad situation and hopefully it’s not a major reason our season goes in the toilet if it does at all. I’d like to take him on his word that he will give us his best season but I don’t take much stock in what he says or thinks.

His statement was true. We don't know for sure Bell won't be back next year. Highly unlikely and my guess would be no way, but we don't know for certain what is going to happen.

Of course anything is possible but let’s get realistic no point in trying to even act like he may resign. Besides the NFL having 31 other teams fold next year Bell will not be a Steeler

I agree that I doubt he'll be back. All I'm saying is anything anyone says right now is just a prediction or guess.
Jeh was just pointing out that we don't know for a fact that Bell won't return and he's right.
