    I didn't, article did. I haven't seen him throw a pass.

He's doing much better than Landry and Dobbs did at this point.

With Martavis apparently being a complete and total moron, trading him for this pick could turn out to be a great move. I am excited to see the kid sling it.

Very encouraging indeed. Cannot wait to hear of him in action when Training Camp starts.

Rudolph is indeed the future. Not a moment too soon either. Rapid showcases of improvement is good to hear.

I was looking at some articles from the 2004 season.
After Batch got injured in the preseason, the team went with Maddox (veteran starter), Ben (rookie), and Brian St. Pierre (2nd year). A long time ago, under a different coach, and unusual circumstances... but not out of reality for Mason to be #2.

(That year the team also spent a 6th round draft pick on a LS, even though they paid a signing bonus when they resigned the incumbent LS Mike Schneck.)

Ben at #1, Rudolph at #2 and Jones at #3 would be best case scenario... if Rudolph is as good as we think he is. This would be the best QB lineup we've had since Ben - Batch - Leftwich.

I thought big-time Free Agent acquisitions determined who was going to win the Super Bowl in June. Redskins and Cowboys are always Super Bowl bound this time of year.

I put NO weight on how guys look in shorts, throwing against air. Nothing matters, nothing to evaluate, until guys are coming after him and NFL caliber DBs are defending his receivers.

I was talking to my niece's fiance a couple of weeks ago during graduation weekend. They both grew up in Edmund Oklahoma and live in Norman now, big OU fans but I wanted to hear what they thought of Mason and Washington. So while he wasn't a huge OSU fan he did think Mason was a better QB than Baker Mayfield and will be better for the Steelers than people realize. Nothing earth shattering but some good insights from someone who watched Mayfield a lot and was exposed to lots of both teams.

I took the poll while reading the article and over 90% voted YES on if Mason could be the backup to Ben. I voted yes too, but in the context of the question it could have been asked "is it impossible" for Mason to be the backup and over 90% would have voted No. They should have asked "do you agree or disagree Mason will beat out Jones for the #2 QB position?

I've watched a few of Mason's games . When he's on he floats them into the breadbasket just like Ben does. I used to say that he would look good in the black and gold...and now here he is :)

I'm slowly climbing onto the Mason train. Definitely like this kids attitude and work ethic.

My biggest hurdle to overcome is the conference he played in. The guy in the article can be irked by that all he wants but there is not a good track record coming out of the Big 12. Hopefully, Mason will be the next big thing since Aikman.

And another thing that has me thinking positively about his chances is the fact that @SteelCity_NB said that even know Big 12 plays no defense, the few teams that Mason did go up against that do play D, he did well against.

I'll say this, if he is another Jimmy G, Steelers won't trade him away for a 38 year old Ben. He's got way more mileage than Brady. I have a feeling that the Steelers will let Ben finnish out his contract and let him walk away. The problem with that is they will be in a sticky situation by letting Ben play out his final year with no extension. That could get ugly.

Of course, thats all based on Masons progress. He may fall on his face but Im beginning to thing that's not very likely.

If Denver still hasn't found their QB by that time, I wonder if Elway would target Ben for a short-term solution.
