According to this CBS mock last year Steelers got 3 players that were rated 1st round talent just a year before. This mock correctly picked exactly what round two players went, got 10 1st round picks correct, only 5-6 were drafted outside the 3rd round or stayed in school, and everybody else was drafted in 2nd or 3rd round.

Mock seems pretty bang on and to think we got three players rated 1st round talent or 1st to 3rd round talent according to the rest of the league. Plus, Edmunds. Who's excited? :smiley1:

    Who's excited?

I am excited purely from the fact that you could ever be excited for something both Colbert/Tomlin were a part of. :applaud:

    Seriously though..

I have no issues with Colbert but Tomlin does do some bonehead things here and there. I thought the doomsday people would enjoy this thread :hmm:

This draft could end up being the best draft in 10 years or another 2008. We won't know for another 3-4 years... so there no reason to waste so much negative energy worrying about it.

    Agreed.

I personally think the Steelers killed this draft. Did an excellent job considering where they picked and who was available. The only real hole I see right now is at inside linebacker for depth and strong run support. For that, see the bring back Lawrence Timmons thread.

Other than that and added depth, the Steelers are loaded right now for next year. On paper we look really good. So now it's up to Tomlin and company to bring it home.
