Who is getting the ax.....

I doubt if they will be in any hurry to put the pressure of being a back up this year on mason, they should be more interested in letting him learn for a year then next year see where he is at and then let him be the number two behind Ben, LJs contract will be up and they can shop him for a pick to some team that needs an experienced back up or even a starter, no pressure on mason this year, besides playing some pre season games against vanilla defenses against their twos and threes dont prove anything...........

Honestly I was just double checking my memory that he was a corner, not a safety. I've not looked at the stats but I just recall more "impactful" blitzes from him than other members of the DB squad. I certainly never thought of him as a stub but rather as a solid contributor.

 

once his contract is up they can't shop him anywhere
if that is the goal they would have to do it this year

I didn't see a big lineup for him last year when he was a free agent though
