Like I said in the draft thread, he's a nice top-end home run threat for Ben. I think he'll be a good addition.

    LOL...we drafted his college QB.

I'm not sold on the guy...but he may have a great future with the team. Welcome.

It's all about AB and Juju now. In two years we'll know if Washington was a good get.

Gonna take the top of the defense.

He's gonna play a game similar to what Martavis did. But he has top notch character unlike Bryant.

    Love the pick. Of course.

I'm not sure about all of that, Washington was a deep threat in the BIG XII which has terrible defenses. He runs a 4.5 will he be able to be a deep threat in the NFL?

That might be true but we need defensive players not wide receivers. I really don’t know why we let MB go. He wasn’t making that much and he’s a #1 on any other team. I don’t like the safety we got. He might be big but he’s slow. I don’t understand the choices Tomlin and the crew make. Juju turned out to be a great pick but none of us thought he’d be that good. I hope I eat my words and they both turn out to be great picks.

I’d like to see us take a top CB or DT. You’d think after after the playoffs last year we’d be all over it. We shall see how they turn out!

don't confuse 40 speed with football speed. remember heyward-bey was a speed guy and he couldn't take the top off a bottle

I agree with much of this although I don't see Bryant as that much of a loss. The guy didn't do anything most of last year. Assuming Washington can play and assuming Fitchner is a little less clueless than Todd Haley the passing game is going to be just fine.

They don't necessarily need a tall speedy guy to have a deep threat. They throw deep to AB all the time. If I am defense I would consider him and JuJu more of a deep threat than Bryant because those guys have a better chance of catching those deep passes.

I just wish they had used that third round pick they got for him to help with the defense.

Bryant missed a year of football, and fans just expected him to be the same player he was before the suspension .

    Yeah, I would expect that.

Dudes are injured and spend an entire year rehabbing and frequently come back at or close to the level they were at before. Bryant wasn't even hurt.

It isn't like he is 34 years old. He is in the prime of his career. If he was a dominant player he should have dominated, year away from the game or not.

Meh. I'm not really impressed... but I thought the JuJu pick last year was garbage. Shows how much I know. Raiders will win the Super Bowl... Carr > Bryant.

That's fine but when you watch the film no matter what conference Washington was running past just about everyone. I don't care what he ran in the 40 show me what you do on the field and I will take it. Washington runs by just about everyone......

Now that's entertainment! :clapping: How rare for two star players to stay in college for 4 years together? I can't wait for pre-season.

They said his on the field speed is faster than his 40 time which is the case with many players - even the great Jerry Rice ran a 4.5 for example.
I guess anyone would run faster if someone was chasing them

I understand where your coming from but I if you remember Bryant before he was suspended. He was really good. Not just a deep threat but went over the middle and played in the slot to. I think Ben was determined to not throw the ball to Bryant or at least that’s what I looked like.

We NEED defensive players bad especially corners. I don’t care if we took one last year. Take one in the first round or second. There’s where you’ll find a difference maker not just an average talent your hoping to change into a beast. As we’ve seen it hasn’t worked. The same goes for DT. Teams run the ball all over us.

I like our linebackers but we can always us a good backup so we have a fresh rotation. Hopefully someone will workout!

I pointed this out in the draft forum, but for those that don't follow it as closely, does everybody notice a trend what Washington does after every touchdown?
