With the recent FA signings of Burnett and Bostic I think we have temporarly stopped the bleeding.

I am concerned with OLB depth and production and it isn't Watt whom I am concerned with.

Could we again try to upgrade Dupree's spot? I am hoping Kion can push Dupree for playing time

Chick/ Moats scare me. It is hard to believe the resources we have spent at OLB, and still

    are weak. Yoy.

Considering we did not bring in any edge rushers to speak of during the pre draft visits in addition to meeting potentially two in Sam Hubbard and Lorenzo Carter, suffice it to say but I believe the Front Office is content with what we have moving forward.

Now, if the 2018 NFL Draft Board is beyond that of brutal in terms of how the board itself stacks out in Round One, one of those two seems to be the likely pick. My best guess would be Carter due to versatility but I am not ruling out Hubbard either.

Now, do I like the depth? No. Bud's option has not been picked up and we have two unknowns behind Chickillo. Not a good proposition.

Of course I'm not happy. We should have 4 All-Pro players, with at least 14 sacks each, all either on their rookie contract or playing for vet minimum for the honor of playing in Pittsburgh. I blame Tomlin.

Moats is no longer here. Huguenin is a guy that played good enough in preseason last year to make the team but there was no room with harrison and moats still here. Has he improved on that with a year here? We will see. This year I could see he and Adams being the new depth. Chickillo doesn't do bad either. Bud will get his final shot at it first. Watt improving will help bud. Tuitt being healthy will help bud. With our money woes I think they will bring in some UDFAs to have a look at but they also want to see what last year's draft pick can do. I think inside is a much bigger problem. Namely shazier spot and a move/ cover LB.

I hope Burkket is good. Missed that signing. Sounds like something you eat.

I agree with AQL, dont think OLB is high on their list, not according to whom they have met with.

OLB should be one of their top 3 picks, if Dupree or Watt gets injured we're in trouble. I could see them taking Carter at #28.

I really don't like lorenzo Carter or Hubbard so I guess I am waiting for later help
or UDFA. Dupree has to be worked with /coached up. He and Tuitt must both be way better this year with absence
of our only impact player possibly gone forever.

Another reason Rashaan Evans would be a great pick. He gives you ILB/OLB Flexibility.

He rushed off the edge at Bama alot.

I like the depth at OLB better than some other positions. Chick can come in on either side if a starter goes down. Plus I'm really anxious to see Adam's speed off the edge in some of the preseason games.

I would say the depth at T, WR, ILB and S is weaker.

Idk I see the same in Carter as I do Dupree ,a athletic guy who needs to a lot of seasoning. We would be drafting another athlete with the hope he can develop into a legitimate OLB. There is already talk of him being a better fit inside(maybe). Aren't we saying the same thing about Dupree now afte 4 disappointing seasons? I think if we take Carter and decide to pigeonhole him at OLB and expect him to be our next great pass rusher we're gonna be disappointed again. I don't know about you but I want someone who can get after the QB at OLB....I'm tired of hearing the excuse about our OLBs dropping into coverage as the reason why their sacks are down. If we had someone who can actually get to the QB ,trust me they'd be dropping a lot less. If we had to pick a OLB at 28 because of how the draft went I would take Hubbard (if the top guys aren't there)because he is more stout at the point of attack. With all of Duprees athleticism he is terrible against the run. If we were looking for a new OLB I would prefer someone more in the mold of Woodley not these athletic guys who are afraid to stick their nose in the fan....IMO.

I think that is what we may get from huguenin. He is more in the mold of chickillo. More DE in his play then speed rush OLB type. More similar to woodley. 6-4 269. Adams is the quicker more speedy type. More watt. 6-2 245. As for Carter I don't think he would be the pick if we went OLB. He could be the pick for the transformation to the inside to go along with a thumper like Vince but I do think Vince could be upgraded too. That would be more of a role for Evans. Not the shazier replacement. I don't think he will be that great as an OLB either, same as Carter. Not enough production in college at that spot and these guys he'll go against in the NFL are much better. I'm just not sure this class is that great at either LB spot. Weak year to be in need. That is why I think we see what we have from the depth already here on the outside.
